Chapter: The Status of the Lowest people in paradise
٨٤
باب أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً فِيهَا
Sahih Muslim 189b
It is reported on the authority of al-Mughira b. Shu'ba that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Moses asked his Lord: Who amongst the inhabitants of Paradise is the lowest to rank? He (Allah) said: The person who would be admitted into Paradise last of all among those deserving of Paradise who are admitted to it. I would be said to him: Enter Paradise. He would say: O my Lord! how (should I enter) while the people have settled in their apartments and taken the shares (portions)? It would be said to him: Would you be pleased if there be for you like the kingdom of a king amongst the kings of the world? He would say: I am pleased my Lord. He (Allah) would say: For you is that, and like that, and like that, and like that, and that. He would say at the fifth (point): I am well pleased. My Lord. He (Allah) would say: It is for you and, ten times like it, and for you is what your self desires and your eye enjoys. He would say: I am well pleased, my Lord. He (Moses) said: (Which is) the highest of their (inhabitants of Paradise) ranks? He (Allah) said: They are those whom I choose. I establish their honour with My own hand and then set a seal over it (and they would be blessed with Bounties) which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human mind has perceived: and this is sub- stantiated by the Book of Allah, Exalted and Great:" So no soul knows what delight of the eye is hidden for them; a reward for what they did" (xxxii. 17).
امام صاحب مختلف اساتذہ کی سندوں سے شعبی سے بیان کرتے ہیں، کہ میں نے حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ ؓ سے منبر پر سنا وہ لوگوں کو بتا رہے تھے، کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”موسیٰ ؑ نے اپنے رب سے پوچھا، جنت میں سب سے کم مرتبہ جنتی کون ہو گا؟ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: وہ ایک شخص ہے۔ جب جنتی جنت میں داخل کر دیے جائیں گے، اس کے بعد آئے گا، تو اسے کہا جائے گا: جنت میں داخل ہو جا! تو وہ کہے گا: اے میرے رب! کیونکر؟ لوگ اپنی اپنی جگہوں میں اتر چکے ہیں اور اپنی عزت وکرامت لے چکے ہیں، یا اپنے گھروں کارخ کر چکے ہیں۔ تو اسے کہا جائے گا: کیا تم اس پر راضی ہو، کہ تمھیں جنت میں اتنا علاقہ دے دیا جائے جتنا دنیا میں بادشاہوں میں سے کسی بادشاہ کی ملکیت میں ہوتا ہے؟ تو وہ کہے گا: اے میرے رب! میں راضی ہوں، تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا: تجھے اتنا علاقہ دیا اور اتنا اور، اور اتنا اور، اور اتنا اور، اور اتنا اور، پانچویں بار وہ آدمی کہے گا: اے میرے رب! میں راضی ہوں، تو اللہ فرمائے گا- یہ تجھے دیا اور اس سے دس گنا اور دیا اور تیرے لیے جس کو تیرا جی چاہے، اور تیری آنکھوں کو بھائے۔ تو وہ کہے گا: میں راضی ہوں، اے میرے رب! پھر موسیٰؑ نے پوچھا: اے میرے رب! تو سب سے بلند مرتبہ کو کیا ملے گا؟ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کو میں نے چنا، ان کی عزت و راحت کو اپنے ہاتھوں سے جمایا اور میں نے اس پر مہر لگائی۔ (ان نعمتوں کو) کسی آنکھ نے نہیں دیکھا، کسی کان نے نہیں سنا، اور کسی دل میں ان کا خیال نہیں گزرا۔ اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس کی تصدیق اللہ عز و جل کی کتاب میں موجود ہے ”کوئی نہیں جانتا کہ ان کی آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک کے لیے کیا کیا نعمتیں چھپائی گئی ہیں۔“ (السجدہ: 17)
Imam Sahab (Rahmatullah Alaih) mukhtalif asatiza ki sanadon se Shabi se bayan karte hain, ke main ne Hazrat Mughira bin Shuba (Radiallahu Anhu) se minbar par suna woh logon ko bata rahe the, ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Musa (Alaihis Salam) ne apne Rabb se poocha, jannat mein sab se kam martaba jannati kaun ho ga? Allah Ta'ala ne farmaya: Woh ek shakhs hai. Jab jannati jannat mein dakhil kar diye jayein ge, is ke baad aaye ga, to ise kaha jaye ga: Jannat mein dakhil ho ja! To woh kahe ga: Ae mere Rabb! Kyonkar? Log apni apni jagahon mein utar chuke hain aur apni izzat-o-karamat le chuke hain, ya apne gharon ka rukh kar chuke hain. To ise kaha jaye ga: Kya tum is par razi ho, ke tumhein jannat mein itna ilaqa de diya jaye jitna dunya mein badshahon mein se kisi badshah ki milkiyat mein hota hai? To woh kahe ga: Ae mere Rabb! Main razi hoon, to Allah Ta'ala farmaye ga: Tujhe itna ilaqa diya aur itna aur, aur itna aur, aur itna aur, aur itna aur, panchwein baar woh aadmi kahe ga: Ae mere Rabb! Main razi hoon, to Allah farmaye ga - yeh tujhe diya aur is se das guna aur diya aur tere liye jis ko tera ji chahe, aur teri aankhon ko bhaye. To woh kahe ga: Main razi hoon, ae mere Rabb! Phir Musa (Alaihis Salam) ne poocha: Ae mere Rabb! To sab se buland martaba ko kya mile ga? Allah Ta'ala ne farmaya: Yeh woh log hain jin ko main ne chuna, in ki izzat-o-rahat ko apne haathon se jamaya aur main ne is par muhar lagayi. (In naimaton ko) kisi aankh ne nahin dekha, kisi kaan ne nahin suna, aur kisi dil mein in ka khayal nahin guzra. Aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Is ki tasdeeq Allah Azza-wa-Jal ki kitab mein maujood hai 'Koi nahin janta ke in ki aankhon ki thandak ke liye kya kya naimatein chupayi gayi hain.' (Al-Sajdah: 17).
قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ، وَابْنُ، أَبْجَرَ سَمِعَا الشَّعْبِيَّ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ، يُخْبِرُ بِهِ النَّاسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ رَفَعَهُ أَحَدُهُمَا - أُرَاهُ ابْنَ أَبْجَرَ - قَالَ " سَأَلَ مُوسَى رَبَّهُ مَا أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً قَالَ هُوَ رَجُلٌ يَجِيءُ بَعْدَ مَا أُدْخِلَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَّةَ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ . فَيَقُولُ أَىْ رَبِّ كَيْفَ وَقَدْ نَزَلَ النَّاسُ مَنَازِلَهُمْ وَأَخَذُوا أَخَذَاتِهِمْ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ أَتَرْضَى أَنْ يَكُونَ لَكَ مِثْلُ مُلْكِ مَلِكٍ مِنْ مُلُوكِ الدُّنْيَا فَيَقُولُ رَضِيتُ رَبِّ . فَيَقُولُ لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَمِثْلُهُ وَمِثْلُهُ وَمِثْلُهُ وَمِثْلُهُ . فَقَالَ فِي الْخَامِسَةِ رَضِيتُ رَبِّ . فَيَقُولُ هَذَا لَكَ وَعَشَرَةُ أَمْثَالِهِ وَلَكَ مَا اشْتَهَتْ نَفْسُكَ وَلَذَّتْ عَيْنُكَ . فَيَقُولُ رَضِيتُ رَبِّ . قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَعْلاَهُمْ مَنْزِلَةً قَالَ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ أَرَدْتُ غَرَسْتُ كَرَامَتَهُمْ بِيَدِي وَخَتَمْتُ عَلَيْهَا فَلَمْ تَرَ عَيْنٌ وَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ أُذُنٌ وَلَمْ يَخْطُرْ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ " . قَالَ وَمِصْدَاقُهُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { فَلاَ تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَا أُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِنْ قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ} الآيَةَ .
