Chapter: The Status of the Lowest people in paradise

باب أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً فِيهَا
Sahih Muslim 194b
It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that there was placed before the Messenger of Allah a cup of soft bread, soup and meat. He took part of the foreleg which he liked most. He sliced (with his teeth) a slice (out of that) and said:I would be the leader of mankind on the Day of Resurrection. He then sliced (that meat) for the second time and said: I am the leader of mankind on the Day of Resurrection. When he saw that his companions did not ask him (about this assertion) he said: Why don't you say: How would that be? They said: How would be it, Messenger of Allah? He said: People would stand before the Lord of the worlds. And the rest of the hadith was narrated like the one transmitted by Abu Hayyan, on the authority of Abu Zur'a, and in the story of Ibrahim, this addition was made. He said and made mention of his words with regard to the star: This is my Lord. And his words with regard to their gods: But the big among them has done that. And his words: I am ailing. He (the Holy Prophet) said: By Him in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the distance between two leaves of the door from their supporting frames is as the distance between Mecca and Hajar or Hajar and Mecca. I do not remember how he said it (whether Mecca and Hajar or Hajar and Mecca).
حضرت ابو ہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے آگے ثرید اور گوشت کا پیالہ رکھا گیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دستی کو اٹھا لیا اور آپ کو بکری کے گوشت سے سب سے زیادہ یہی حصہ پسند تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے ایک دفعہ دانتوں سے نوچا اور فرمایا: ”میں قیامت کے دن تمام لوگوں کا سردار ہوں گا۔“ پھر دوبارہ گوشت نوچا اور فرمایا: ”میں قیامت کے روز تمام انسانوں کا سردار ہوں گا۔“ جب آپ نے دیکھا، آپ کے ساتھی اس کا سبب نہیں پوچھ رہے تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم کیوں نہیں پوچھتے یہ کیوں ہو گا؟“ انھوں نے پوچھا: اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! اس کا سبب کیا ہو گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”لوگ اللہ تعالیٰ کے سامنے کھڑے ہوں گے۔“ عمارہ نے بھی حدیث مذکورہ بالا سند سے ابو حیان نے ابو زرعہ کی حدیث کی طرح بیان کی اور ابراہیم ؑ کے واقعہ میں یہ اضافہ کیا: ”کہ ابراہیم ؑ نے کہا: میں نے کواکب (ستاروں) کے بارے میں کہا: ﴿هَـٰذَا رَبِّي﴾ ”یہ میرا رب ہے“ اور ان کے معبودوں کے بارے میں کہا: ”بلکہ یہ کام ان کے بڑے نے کیا ہے“ اور کہا: ”میں بیمار ہوں۔“ اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس کے ہاتھ میں محمد کی جان ہے اس کی قسم! جنت کے دروازوں کے دونوں پٹوں کا فاصلہ چوکھٹ تک اتنا ہے جتنا مکہ اور ہجر کے درمیان، یا ہجر اور مکہ کے درمیان کا فاصلہ۔“ مجھے یاد نہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پہلے کس شہر کا نام لیا۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (Radiallahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke aage sareed aur gosht ka pyala rakkha gaya, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne dasti ko utha liya aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko bakri ke gosht se sab se zyada yahi hissa pasand tha. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne is se ek dafa danton se nocha aur farmaya: "Main qiyamat ke din tamam logon ka sardar hoon ga." Phir dobara gosht nocha aur farmaya: "Main qiyamat ke roz tamam insanon ka sardar hoon ga." Jab Aap ne dekha, Aap ke sathi is ka sabab nahin pooch rahe to Aap ne farmaya: "Tum kyun nahin poochte yeh kyun ho ga?" Unhon ne poocha: Ae Allah ke Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Is ka sabab kya ho ga? Aap ne farmaya: "Log Allah Ta'ala ke saamne khade hon ge." Amarah ne bhi hadith mazkoora bala sanad se Abu Hayyan ne Abu Zurah ki hadith ki tarah bayan ki aur Ibrahim (Alaihis Salam) ke waqia mein yeh izafa kiya: "Ke Ibrahim (Alaihis Salam) ne kaha: Main ne kawakib (sitaron) ke baare mein kaha: 'Hazaa Rabbi' 'Yeh mera Rabb hai' aur in ke maboodon ke baare mein kaha: 'Balkay yeh kaam in ke bade ne kiya hai' aur kaha: 'Main bimar hoon.' Aur Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Jis ke haath mein Muhammad ki jaan hai is ki qasam! Jannat ke darwazon ke dono paton ka fasla choukhat tak itna hai jitna Makkah aur Hajr ke darmiyan, ya Hajr aur Makkah ke darmiyan ka fasla.' Mujhe yaad nahin, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne pehle kis shehar ka naam liya."
وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ وُضِعَتْ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَصْعَةٌ مِنْ ثَرِيدٍ وَلَحْمٍ فَتَنَاوَلَ الذِّرَاعَ وَكَانَتْ أَحَبَّ الشَّاةِ إِلَيْهِ فَنَهَسَ نَهْسَةً فَقَالَ " أَنَا سَيِّدُ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . ثُمَّ نَهَسَ أُخْرَى فَقَالَ " أَنَا سَيِّدُ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . فَلَمَّا رَأَى أَصْحَابَهُ لاَ يَسْأَلُونَهُ قَالَ " أَلاَ تَقُولُونَ كَيْفَهْ " . قَالُوا كَيْفَهْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ " . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ أَبِي حَيَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ وَزَادَ فِي قِصَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ وَذَكَرَ قَوْلَهُ فِي الْكَوْكَبِ هَذَا رَبِّي . وَقَوْلَهُ لآلِهَتِهِمْ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا . وَقَوْلَهُ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ . قَالَ " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ مَا بَيْنَ الْمِصْرَاعَيْنِ مِنْ مَصَارِيعِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَى عِضَادَتَىِ الْبَابِ لَكَمَا بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَهَجَرٍ أَوْ هَجَرٍ وَمَكَّةَ " . قَالَ لاَ أَدْرِي أَىَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَ .
