Chapter: When the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah begin, it is forbidden for the one who wants to offer a sacrifice to remove anything from his hair, nails or skin

باب نَهْيِ مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرُ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَهُوَ مُرِيدُ التَّضْحِيَةِ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ أَوْ أَظْفَارِهِ شَيْئًا
Sahih Muslim 1977g
Ummul Momineen Umm Salama (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى هللاعليه و آله وسلم) said, ‘he who has a sacrificial animal with him whom (he intends) to offer as sacrifice, and he enters the month of Dhu'I-Hijja, he should not get his hair cut or nails trimmed until he has sacrificed the animal.
حضرت ام سلمہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بیوی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس کے پاس قربانی ذبح کرنے کا جانور ہو تو جب ذوالحجہ کا چاند نظر آ جائے، وہ قربانی کرنے تک ہرگز اپنے بالوں، اپنے ناخنوں سے کچھ نہ کاٹے۔“
Hazrat Umm Salama Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki biwi (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha) bayan karti hain, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: “Jis ke paas qurbani zabah karne ka janwar ho toh jab Dhul Hijjah ka chaand nazar aa jaye, woh qurbani karne tak hargiz apne baalon, apne nakhunon se kuch na kaate.”
وَحَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو اللَّيْثِيُّ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أُكَيْمَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ ذِبْحٌ يَذْبَحُهُ فَإِذَا أُهِلَّ هِلاَلُ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَلاَ يَأْخُذَنَّ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ وَلاَ مِنْ أَظْفَارِهِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى يُضَحِّيَ " .
