Chapter: When the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah begin, it is forbidden for the one who wants to offer a sacrifice to remove anything from his hair, nails or skin

باب نَهْيِ مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرُ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَهُوَ مُرِيدُ التَّضْحِيَةِ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ أَوْ أَظْفَارِهِ شَيْئًا
Sahih Muslim 1977h
Amr bin Muslim bin Ammar al-Laithi narrated when we were in a bathroom just before 'Id al-Adha some of the persons tried to remove the hair with the help of hair-removing chemicals. Thereupon some of the people owning the bath (or some of the people sitting therein) said that Sa'id bin Musayyib did not approve of it, or he prohibited it. Then I met Sa'id bin Musayyib and made a mention of that to him, whereupon he said, O my nephew, this is the Hadith which has been forgotten, and abandoned. Ummul Momineen Umm Salama ( رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated to me Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) having said as narrated above.
عمرو بن مسلم بن عمار لیثی بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم عید الاضحیٰ سے کچھ دن پہلے حمام میں تھے، کچھ لوگوں نے بال صفا پوڈر استعمال کیا، تو حمام کے بعض مالکوں نے کہا، سعید بن المسیب اس کو ناپسند کرتے تھے، یا اس سے منع کرتے تھے، تو میں سعید بن المسیب کو ملا اور اس کا ان سے ذکر کیا، تو انہوں نے کہا، اے بھتیجے، یہ حدیث بھلا دی گئی ہے اور اس پر عمل چھوڑ دیا گیا ہے، مجھے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بیوی ام سلمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بتایا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایاِ، آگے مذکورہ بالا معاذ کی حدیث ہے۔
Amr bin Muslim bin Ammar Laithi bayan karte hain ke hum Eid ul-Adha se kuch din pehle hammam mein thay, kuch logon ne baal safa powder istemal kiya, toh hammam ke baaz malikon ne kaha, Said bin al-Musayyib is ko napasand karte thay, ya is se mana karte thay, toh mein Said bin al-Musayyib ko mila aur is ka un se zikr kiya, toh unhon ne kaha, ae bhatije, yeh hadees bhula di gayi hai aur is par amal chor diya gaya hai, mujhe Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki biwi Umm Salama (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha) ne bataya, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya, aage mazkurah bala Ma'adh ki hadees hai.
حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ، قَالَ كُنَّا فِي الْحَمَّامِ قُبَيْلَ الأَضْحَى فَاطَّلَى فِيهِ نَاسٌ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْحَمَّامِ إِنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ يَكْرَهُ هَذَا أَوْ يَنْهَى عَنْهُ فَلَقِيتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي هَذَا حَدِيثٌ قَدْ نُسِيَ وَتُرِكَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو .
