Sahih Muslim 2182a
Asma bint Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنها) reported that she was married to Zubair (رضي الله تعالى عنه). He had neither land nor wealth nor slave nor anything else like it except a horse. She further said, I grazed his horse, provided fodder to it and looked after it, and ground dates for his camel. Besides this, I grazed the camel, made arrangements for providing it with water and patched up the leather bucket and kneaded the flour. But I was not proficient in baking the bread, so my female neighbors used to bake bread for me and they were sincere women. She further said, I was carrying on my head the stones of the dates from the land of Zubair (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہ) which Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had endowed him and it was at a distance of two miles (from Medina). She added, as I was one day carrying the atones of dates upon my head, I happened to meet Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) along with a group of his Companions. He called me and said (to the camel) to sit down so that he should make camel ride behind him. (I told my husband) I felt shy and remembered your jealousy, whereupon he said, by Allah, the carrying of the stone dates upon your bead is more severe a burden than riding with him. She said, (I led the life of hardship) until Abu Bakr (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہ) sent afterwards a female servant who took upon herself the responsibility of looking after the horse and I felt as if she had emancipated me.
حضرت اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں، حضرت زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے میرے ساتھ ایسے حالات میں شادی کی کہ ان کے پاس اپنے گھوڑے کے سوا کوئی مال و دولت، غلام یا کوئی اور چیز نہ تھی، میں ان کے گھوڑے کے لیے چارہ لاتی اور اس کی ضروریات سے ان کو کفایت کرتی اور میں ہی اس کی دیکھ بھال یا نگہداشت کرتی اور ان کے پانی ڈھونے کے اونٹ کے لیے گٹھلیاں کوٹتی اور اس کو چارہ ڈالتی، پانی لاتی اور ان کے ڈول کو سیتی، آٹا گوندھتی اور مجھے اچھی طرح روٹی پکانا نہیں آتا تھا، یا میں اچھی طرح روٹی نہیں پکا سکتی تھی اور میری انصاری پڑوسنیں، مجھے روٹی پکا کر دیتی تھیں اور وہ بہت اچھی عورتیں تھیں اور میں زبیر کی اس زمین سے جو آپ نے اسے عنایت فرمائی تھی، اپنے سر پر گٹھلیاں ڈھوتی تھی، جو مدینہ سے دو میل کے فاصلہ پر تھی، ایک دن میں آ رہی تھی اور گٹھلیاں میرے سر پر تھیں تو میری ملاقات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ہو گئی، آپ کے چند ساتھی بھی آپ کے ساتھ تھے، آپ نے مجھے آواز دی، پھر اونٹ کو بٹھانے کے لیے کہا ”اخ، اخ“
Hazrat Asma bint Abi Bakar (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha) bayan karti hain, Hazrat Zubair (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ne mere saath aise halaat mein shadi ki ke un ke paas apne ghode ke siwa koi maal wa daulat, ghulam ya koi aur cheez na thi, main un ke ghode ke liye chara lati aur us ki zaruriyat se un ko kifayat karti aur main hi us ki dekh bhaal ya nigahdasht karti aur un ke pani dhone ke ount ke liye guthlian koot ti aur us ko chara dalti, pani lati aur un ke dol ko siti, aata goondhti aur mujhe achhi tarah roti pakana nahin aata tha, ya main achhi tarah roti nahin paka sakti thi aur meri Ansari padosnein, mujhe roti paka kar deti theen aur woh bahut achhi aurtein theen aur main Zubair ki us zameen se jo aap ne usay inayat farmai thi, apne sar par guthlian dhoti thi, jo Madina se do meel ke fasle par thi, ek din main aa rahi thi aur guthlian mere sar par theen to meri mulaqat Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke saath ho gayi, aap ke chand saathi bhi aap ke saath the, aap ne mujhe awaz di, phir ount ko baithane ke liye kaha "Akh, Akh" (baith ja, baith ja).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِي الزُّبَيْرُ وَمَا لَهُ فِي الأَرْضِ مِنْ مَالٍ وَلاَ مَمْلُوكٍ وَلاَ شَىْءٍ غَيْرَ فَرَسِهِ - قَالَتْ - فَكُنْتُ أَعْلِفُ فَرَسَهُ وَأَكْفِيهِ مَئُونَتَهُ وَأَسُوسُهُ وَأَدُقُّ النَّوَى لِنَاضِحِهِ وَأَعْلِفُهُ وَأَسْتَقِي الْمَاءَ وَأَخْرِزُ غَرْبَهُ وَأَعْجِنُ وَلَمْ أَكُنْ أُحْسِنُ أَخْبِزُ وَكَانَ يَخْبِزُ لِي جَارَاتٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ وَكُنَّ نِسْوَةَ صِدْقٍ - قَالَتْ - وَكُنْتُ أَنْقُلُ النَّوَى مِنْ أَرْضِ الزُّبَيْرِ الَّتِي أَقْطَعَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى رَأْسِي وَهْىَ عَلَى ثُلُثَىْ فَرْسَخٍ - قَالَتْ - فَجِئْتُ يَوْمًا وَالنَّوَى عَلَى رَأْسِي فَلَقِيتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمَعَهُ نَفَرٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَدَعَانِي ثُمَّ قَالَ " إِخْ إِخْ " . لِيَحْمِلَنِي خَلْفَهُ - قَالَتْ - فَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ وَعَرَفْتُ غَيْرَتَكَ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَحَمْلُكِ النَّوَى عَلَى رَأْسِكِ أَشَدُّ مِنْ رُكُوبِكِ مَعَهُ . قَالَتْ حَتَّى أَرْسَلَ إِلَىَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِخَادِمٍ فَكَفَتْنِي سِيَاسَةَ الْفَرَسِ فَكَأَنَّمَا أَعْتَقَتْنِي .
