Sahih Muslim 2261f
Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, the good vision are from Allah and the evil dreams are from the Satan. If one sees a dream which one does not like, one should spit on one's left side and seek the refuge of Allah from the Satan; it will not do one any harm, and one should not disclose it to anyone and if one sees a good vision, one should feel pleased but should not disclose it to anyone but whom one loves.
حضرت ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اچھا خواب اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے ہے اور بُرا خواب شیطان کی طرف سے ہے تو جس نے خواب دیکھا اور اس کا کچھ حصہ اس پر ناگوار گزرا تو وہ بائیں طرف تھوک دے اورشیطان سے اللہ کی پناہ میں آئے، وہ اس کو نقصان نہیں پہنچائے گا اور اس سے کسی کو آگاہ نہ کرے، کسی کو نہ بتائے اور اگر اچھا خواب دیکھے تو خوش ہو جائے اور صرف اس کو بتائے، جو اس سے محبت کرتا ہو۔“
Hazrat Abu Qatadah (Razi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Achha khwab Allah Ta'ala ki taraf se hai aur bura khwab shaitan ki taraf se hai to jis ne khwab dekha aur uska kuch hissa us par nagawar guzra to woh bayen taraf thook de aur shaitan se Allah ki panah mein aaye, woh usko nuqsan nahi pahunchayega aur us se kisi ko aagah na kare, kisi ko na bataye aur agar achha khwab dekhe to khush ho jaye aur sirf usko bataye, jo us se muhabbat karta ho."
وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ " الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَالرُّؤْيَا السَّوْءُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَمَنْ رَأَى رُؤْيَا فَكَرِهَ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا فَلْيَنْفِثْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ لاَ تَضُرُّهُ وَلاَ يُخْبِرْ بِهَا أَحَدًا فَإِنْ رَأَى رُؤْيَا حَسَنَةً فَلْيُبْشِرْ وَلاَ يُخْبِرْ إِلاَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّ " .
