Sahih Muslim 2386a, b
Muhammad bin Jubair bin Mut'im reported on the authority of his father that a woman asked Allah's Apostle (صلى ْهللا عليه و آله وسلم) about something, but he told her to come to him on some other occasion, whereupon she said, what in your opinion (should I do) if I come to you but do not find you, and it seemed as if she meant that he might die. Thereupon he said, iyou do not find me, then come to Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه). This Hadith has been narrated on the authority of Jubair bin Mut'im through another chain of transmitters (and the words are) that a woman came to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and discussed with him something, and he gave a command as we find in the above-mentioned narration.
جبیر بن مطعم اپنے باپ سے بیان کرتے ہیں، کہ ایک عورت نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کچھ پوچھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ پھر آنا۔ وہ بولی کہ یا رسول اللہ! اگر میں آؤں اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نہ پاؤں (یعنی آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات ہو جائے تو)؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اگر تو مجھے نہ پائے تو ابوبکر کے پاس آنا۔
Jubair bin Mut'im apne baap se bayan karte hain, ke ek aurat ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) se kuch poocha. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya ke phir aana. Woh boli ke Ya Rasool Allah! Agar main aaoon aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ko na paoon (ya'ni Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ki wafat ho jaye to)? Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya ke agar tu mujhe na paye to Abu Bakar ke paas aana.
حَدَّثَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ، بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً، سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَيْئًا فَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَرْجِعَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ جِئْتُ فَلَمْ أَجِدْكَ قَالَ أَبِي كَأَنَّهَا تَعْنِي الْمَوْتَ . قَالَ " فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِينِي فَأْتِي أَبَا بَكْرٍ " . وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ، جُبَيْرَ بْنَ مُطْعِمٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَكَلَّمَتْهُ فِي شَىْءٍ فَأَمَرَهَا بِأَمْرٍ . بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ مُوسَى .
