Sahih Muslim 2548a
Abu Huraira (رضئ الله تعالی عنہ) reported that a person came to Allah's Apostle (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) and said, who among the people is most deserving of a fine treatment from my hand? He said, your mother. He again said, then who (is the next one)? He said, again it is your mother (who deserves the best treatment from you). He said, then who (is the next one)? The Prophet (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) said, again, it is your mother. He (again) said, then who? Thereupon he said, then it is your father. In the Hadith transmitted on the authority of Qutaiba, there is no mention of the word, ‘the people’.
حضرت ابوہریرۃ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں،ایک آدمی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوکر کہنےلگا،میری اچھی رفاقت کا سب سے زیادہ حقدار کون انسان ہے؟آپ نےفرمایا،"تیری ماں۔"اس نے پوچھا،"پھر کون؟فرمایا:"تیری والدہ"پوچھا،پھر کون؟فرمایا:"پھر بھی تیری ماں،"اس نے دریافت کیا،پھر کون؟فرمایا،"پھر تیرا باپ۔"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) bayan karte hain, ek aadmi Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar kehne laga, meri acchi rafaqat ka sab se ziyada haqdar kaun insan hai? Aap ne farmaya, "Teri maa." Us ne poocha, "Phir kaun?" Farmaya: "Teri walida." Poocha, phir kaun? Farmaya: "Phir bhi teri maa," us ne daryaft kiya, phir kaun? Farmaya, "Phir tera baap."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جَمِيلِ بْنِ طَرِيفٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ مَنْ أَحَقُّ النَّاسِ بِحُسْنِ صَحَابَتِي قَالَ " أُمُّكَ " . قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ قَالَ " ثُمَّ أُمُّكَ " . قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ قَالَ " ثُمَّ أُمُّكَ " . قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ قَالَ " ثُمَّ أَبُوكَ " . وَفِي حَدِيثِ قُتَيْبَةَ مَنْ أَحَقُّ بِحُسْنِ صَحَابَتِي وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ النَّاسَ .
