Chapter: The Abhorrence Of Lying, And The Goodness And Virtue Of Honesty

باب قُبْحِ الْكَذِبِ وَحُسْنِ الصِّدْقِ وَفَضْلِهِ
Sahih Muslim 2607d
This Hadith has been reported on the authority of A'mash with the same chain of transmitters and no mention is made in the Hadith transmitted on the authority of 'Isa (of these words), ‘he who endeavors to tell the truth and endeavors to tell a lie,’ and in the Hadith transmitted on the authority of Mushir (the words are), ‘until Allah records it.’
امام صاحب یہی حدیث اپنے دو اساتذہ کی سندوں سے بیان کرتے ہیں، عیسیٰ کی روایت میں "يتحري الصدق" (سچ کو اختیار کرتا ہے)"وَيَتَحري الكذب"(جھوٹ کو اختیار کرتا ہے) نہیں ہے اور ابن مسہر کی روایت میں ہے۔"حتٰي يكتَبَهُ اللهُ"حتی کہ اللہ اس کو لکھ دیتا ہے۔
Imam Sahab yahi hadees apne do asatiza ki sanadon se bayan karte hain, Isa (Rahmatullah Alaih) ki riwayat mein "yatahri as-sidq" (sach ko ikhtiyar karta hai) "wa yatahri al-kazib" (jhoot ko ikhtiyar karta hai) nahin hai aur Ibn Mishar (Rahmatullah Alaih) ki riwayat mein hai. "hatta yaktibahu Allahu" hatta ke Allah us ko likh deta hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ التَّمِيمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ، إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِي حَدِيثِ عِيسَى " وَيَتَحَرَّى الصِّدْقَ وَيَتَحَرَّى الْكَذِبَ " . وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ مُسْهِرٍ " حَتَّى يَكْتُبَهُ اللَّهُ " .
