Sahih Muslim 2696
Mu'sab bin Sa'd reported on the authority of his father that a desert Arab came to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and said to him, teach me the words which I should (often) utter. He said, recite – َلا َإ لَه َإ ال ُ َاللّ ُوَحْدَه َلا َ يكشَر ُلَه ُ َاللّ ُأَكْبَر ًاكَب ير ُوَالْحَمْد َ لِل ًاكَث ير َسُبْحَان َاللّ َبر َالْعَالَم ين َلا َْ لحَو َوَال َقُوَ ة َإ ال َب الِل يزالْعَز الْحَك يم [There is no god but Allah, the One, having no partner with Him. Allah is the Greatest of the great and all praise is due to Him. Hallowed be Allah, the Lord of the worlds, there is no Might and Power but that of Allah, the All-Powerful and the Wise.] He (that desert Arab) said, these all (glorify) my Lord. But what about me? Thereupon the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, you should say, O Allah, grant me pardon, have mercy upon me, direct me to righteousness and provide me sustenance.’ Musa (one of the narrators) said, I think he also said, Grant me safety.’ But I cannot say for certain whether he said this or not. Ibn Abi Shaiba has not made a mention of the words of Musa in his narration.
حضرت مصعب رحمۃ اللہ علیہ بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ا پنے باپ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک اعرابی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوکرکہنے لگا،مجھے کچھ بول سکھائیں،جن کا میں ورد کروں،آپ نے فرمایا:یوں کہو،اللہ کے سوا کوئی لائق بندگی نہیں ہے،اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں ہے،میں اللہ بہت بڑے کی کبریائی بیان کرتا ہوں اور اس کی بہت زیادہ حمدوثناءبیان کرتا ہوں،کائنات کا رب اللہ،ہرعیب ونقص سے پاک ہے،نہ حرکت ہے اور نہ حرکت کی قوت ہے،مگر اللہ کی توفیق سے جو غالب،حکمت والا ہے۔"اعرابی نےکہا،یہ کلمات تو میرے رب کے لیے ہوئے تومیرے لیے کیا ہے؟آپ نے فرمایا:یوں کہو،اے اللہ مجھے معاف فرمادے،مجھ پر رحم فرما،مجھے ہدایت بخش اور مجھے رزق عطا فرما۔"راوی موسیٰ کہتے ہیں،مجھے عافیت بخشش کامجھے خیال گزرتاہے اورمجھے یاد نہیں ہے،ابن ابی شیبہ نے اپنی روایت میں موسیٰ رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کا یہ قول بیان نہیں کیا۔
Hazrat Mus'ab (Rahmatullah Alaih) bin Sa'd (Raziyallahu Anhu) apne baap se bayan karte hain ki ek A'rabi Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein haazir ho kar kehne laga, "Mujhe kuch bol sikhayen, jin ka main wird karoon." Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Yun kaho, 'Allah ke siwa koi laiq-e-bandagi nahin hai, us ka koi shareek nahin hai, main Allah bahut bade ki kibraai bayan karta hoon aur us ki bahut zyada hamd wa sana bayan karta hoon, kainat ka Rabb Allah, har 'aib wa naqs se paak hai, na harkat hai aur na harkat ki quwwat hai, magar Allah ki tawfeeq se jo Ghalib, Hikmat wala hai.'" A'rabi ne kaha, "Yeh kalimaat toh mere Rabb ke liye hue toh mere liye kya hai?" Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Yun kaho, 'Aye Allah mujhe ma'af farma de, mujh par raham farma, mujhe hidayat bakhsh aur mujhe rizq ata farma.'" Rawi Musa kehte hain, mujhe 'afiyat bakhshish ka mujhe khayal guzarta hai aur mujhe yaad nahin hai, Ibn Abi Shaibah ne apni riwayat mein Musa (Rahmatullah Alaih) ka yeh qaul bayan nahin kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، وَابْنُ، نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُوسَى الْجُهَنِيِّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى الْجُهَنِيُّ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ عَلِّمْنِي كَلاَمًا أَقُولُهُ قَالَ " قُلْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ " . قَالَ فَهَؤُلاَءِ لِرَبِّي فَمَا لِي قَالَ " قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاهْدِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي " . قَالَ مُوسَى أَمَّا عَافِنِي فَأَنَا أَتَوَهَّمُ وَمَا أَدْرِي . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَوْلَ مُوسَى .
