Sahih Muslim 2756a
Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, a person who had never done any good deed asked the members of his family to burn his dead body when he would die and to scatter half of its ashes over the land and half in the ocean. By Allah, if Allah finds him in His grip, He would torment him with a torment with which He did not afflict anyone amongst the people of the world; and when the person died, it was done to him as he had commanded (his family) to do. Allah commanded the land to collect (the ashes scattered on it) and He commanded the ocean and that collected (ashes) contained in it. Allah questioned him why he had done. that He said, My Lord, it is out of Your fear that I have done it and You are well aware of it, and Allah granted him pardon.
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:"ایک آدمی نے جس نے کبھی کوئی نیکی نہیں کی تھی، اپنے گھر والوں کو کہا، جب وہ مرجائے تو اسے جلا دینا، پھر اس کی آدھی راکھ خشکی اور آدھی راکھ سمندر میں بکھیر دینا، کیونکہ اللہ کی قسم!اگر اللہ نے اس پر گرفت کر سکا تو اسے اس قدر شدید عذاب دے گا۔ جو کائنات میں سے کسی کو نہیں دے گا تو جب وہ آدمی فوت ہو گیا، انھوں نے (گھر والوں نے)اس کے مشورہ پر عمل کیا، چنانچہ اللہ نے خشکی کو حکم دیا۔ اس نے اس میں بکھر ے ہوئے ذرات کو جمع کر دئیے اور سمندر کو حکم دیا۔اس نے اس میں جو ذرات تھے ان کو جمع کر ڈالا، پھر اللہ نے پوچھا، اے انسان!تونے یہ کام کیوں کیا؟ اس نے عرض کیا، اے میرے رب! تیری خشیت و ڈر کی وجہ سے اور تجھے خوب علم ہے، سو اللہ نے اسے بخش دیا۔"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Raziyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Ek aadmi ne jis ne kabhi koi neki nahin ki thi, apne ghar walon ko kaha, jab woh marjaye toh use jala dena, phir us ki aadhi raakh khushki aur aadhi raakh samundar mein bikher dena, kyunki Allah ki qasam! Agar Allah ne us par girift kar saka toh use is qadar shadeed azab dega. Jo kainat mein se kisi ko nahin dega toh jab woh aadmi faut ho gaya, unhone (ghar walon ne) us ke mashwarah par amal kiya, chunanchah Allah ne khushki ko hukm diya. Us ne us mein bikhere hue zarraat ko jama kar diye aur samundar ko hukm diya. Us ne us mein jo zarraat the un ko jama kar dala, phir Allah ne poocha, 'Aye insaan! Tu ne yeh kaam kyun kiya?' Us ne arz kiya, 'Aye mere Rabb! Teri khashiyat wa dar ki wajah se aur tujhe khoob ilm hai,' so Allah ne use bakhsh diya."
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقِ ابْنِ بِنْتِ مَهْدِيِّ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " قَالَ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يَعْمَلْ حَسَنَةً قَطُّ لأَهْلِهِ إِذَا مَاتَ فَحَرِّقُوهُ ثُمَّ اذْرُوا نِصْفَهُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَنِصْفَهُ فِي الْبَحْرِ فَوَاللَّهِ لَئِنْ قَدَرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ لَيُعَذِّبَنَّهُ عَذَابًا لاَ يُعَذِّبُهُ أَحَدًا مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ فَلَمَّا مَاتَ الرَّجُلُ فَعَلُوا مَا أَمَرَهُمْ فَأَمَرَ اللَّهُ الْبَرَّ فَجَمَعَ مَا فِيهِ وَأَمَرَ الْبَحْرَ فَجَمَعَ مَا فِيهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا قَالَ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ يَا رَبِّ وَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ . فَغَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ " .
