Sahih Muslim 2796
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that Abu Jahl said, O Allah, if he is true, then shower upon us the volley of stones from the sky or inflict upon us a grievous torment, and it was on this occasion that this verse was revealed – [But Allah would not punish them while you, (O' Prophet ﷺ), are among them, and Allah would not punish them as long as they (some of them) seek forgiveness. But what is there so special they have that Allah should not punish them when they obstruct people from the Masjid al-Haram, though they are not its (appointed) guardians? Its guardians could be only those who are pious and devout. But most of them do not know.] (Al-Anfaal: 33-34).
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں۔ ابو جہل نے دعا کی، اے اللہ!اگر یہی (قرآن)حق ہے، جو تیری طرف سے ہےتو ہم پر آسمان سے پتھروں کی بارش برسادے،یا ہمیں کسی المناک عذاب سے دو چار کردے تو یہ آیت اتر،"اللہ ایسے نہیں ہے کہ آپ کی موجودگی میں ان پر عذاب بھیجے اور اللہ ان کو عذاب دینے والا نہیں ہے، جبکہ استغفار کر رہے ہیں،"اور انہیں کیا تحفظ حاصل ہے کہ اللہ ان کو عذاب نہ دے،حالانکہ وہ مسجد حرام سے روک رہے ہیں، جبکہ وہ حقیقتاً اس کے متولی نہیں ہیں، اس کے متولی تو صرف متقی (حدود کے پابندی) ہی ہو سکتے ہیں، لیکن ان میں سے اکثر اس حقیقت کو نہیں جانتے۔"(انفال آیت33۔34)
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) bayan karte hain. Abu Jahl ne dua ki, ae Allah! agar yahi (Quran) haq hai, jo teri taraf se hai toh hum par aasman se pattharon ki barish barsa de, ya humein kisi almnak azab se do-char kar de toh yeh aayat utri, "Allah aise nahi hai ke aap ki maujoodgi mein un par azab bheje aur Allah un ko azab dene wala nahi hai, jabke istighfar kar rahe hain," aur unhein kya tahaffuz hasil hai ke Allah un ko azab na de, halanke woh Masjid-e-Haram se rok rahe hain, jabke woh haqiqatan us ke mutawalli nahi hain, is ke mutawalli toh sirf muttaqi (hudood ke pabandi) hi ho sakte hain, lekin in mein se aksar is haqiqat ko nahi jaante." (Anfal Aayat 33-34)
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الزِّيَادِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ هَذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَوِ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ . فَنَزَلَتْ { وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ * وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلاَّ يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ} إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ .
