Chapter: The evidence that one who dies believing in tawhid will definitely enter paradise

باب مَنْ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ بِالإِيمَانِ وَهُوَ غَيْرُ شَاكٍّ فِيهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَحَرُمَ عَلَى النَّارِ

Sahih Muslim 27a
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira:We were accompanying the Apostle (ﷺ) in a march (towards Tabuk). He (the narrator) said: The provisions with the people were almost depleted. He (the narrator) said: (And the situation became so critical) that they (the men of the army) decided to slaughter some of their camels. He (the narrator) said: Upon this Umar said: Messenger of Allah, I wish that you should pool together what has been left out of the provisions with the people and then invoke (the blessings of) Allah upon it. He (the narrator) said: He (the Holy Prophet) did it accordingly. He (the narrator) said: The one who had wheat in his possession came there with wheat. He who had dates with him came there with dates. And Mujahid said: He who possessed stones of dates came there with stones. I (the narrator) said: What did they do with the date-stones. They said: They (the people) sucked them and then drank water over them. He (the narrator said): He (the Holy Prophet) invoked the blessings (of Allah) upon them (provisions). He (the narrator) said: (And there was such a miraculous increase in the stocks) that the people replenished their provisions fully. He (the narrator) said: At that time he (the Holy Prophet) said: I bear testimony to the fact that there is no god but Allah, and I am His messenger. The bondsman who would meet Allah without entertaining any doubt about these (two fundamentals) would enter heaven.
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ہم ایک سفر میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے۔ لوگوں کا زادِ راہ ختم ہو گیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کہ بعض سواریوں (اونٹوں) کو ذبح کردیا جائے۔“ تو حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کہنے لگے: اے اللہ کے رسولؐ! کاش آپ لوگوں کا بچا کھچا توشہ جمع فرما لیں اور اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ سے برکت کی دعا فرمائیں! نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایسے ہی کیا۔ گندم والا اپنی گندم لایا اور کھجور والا کھجو۔ مجاہدؒ کہتے ہیں: جس کے پاس گٹھلیاں تھیں وہ گٹھلیاں لے آیا۔ راوی نے پوچھا (مجاہدؒ سے): کہ گٹھلیوں کا کیا کرتے تھے؟ جواب ملا: ان کو چوس کر پانی پی لیتے تھے۔ حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں جمع شدہ توشہ پر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) نے دعا فرمائی تو لوگوں نے اپنے اپنے توشہ کے برتنوں کو بھر لیا۔ اس وقت آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں اور اللہ کے سوا کوئی عبادت کا مستحق نہیں ہے جو بندہ بھی اللہ تعالیٰ کو ان دونوں باتوں میں (توحیدو رسالت) بلا شک و شبہ ملے گا وہ جنّت میں داخل ہو گا۔“
Hazrat Abu Huraira (Radhi Allahu Anhu) se marwi hai ke hum ek safar mein Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ke sath thay. Logon ka zad-e-rah khatam ho gaya. Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "ke ba'az sawariyon (oonton) ko zibah kardiya jaye." To Hazrat Umar (Radhi Allahu Anhu) kehne lage: Ae Allah ke Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)! kash Aap logon ka bacha-khucha tosha jama farma lein aur is par Allah Ta'ala se barkat ki dua farmayein! Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne aise hi kiya. Gandum wala apni gandum laya aur khajoor wala khajoor. Mujahid (Rahmatullahi Alaih) kehte hain: jis ke pas guthliyan thin woh guthliyan le aaya. Rawi ne pucha (Mujahid (Rahmatullahi Alaih) se): ke guthliyan ka kya karte thay? Jawab mila: un ko choos kar pani pee lete thay. Hazrat Abu Huraira (Radhi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain jama shuda tosha par Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne dua farmayi to logon ne apne apne tosha ke bartanon ko bhar liya. Is waqt Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Main gawahi deta hoon ke main Allah ka Rasool hoon aur Allah ke siwa koi ibadat ka mustahiq nahi hai jo banda bhi Allah Ta'ala ko in dono baaton mein (tauheed-o-risalat) bila shakk-o-shuba mile ga woh jannat mein dakhil ho ga."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ، هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ الأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي مَسِيرٍ - قَالَ - فَنَفِدَتْ أَزْوَادُ الْقَوْمِ قَالَ حَتَّى هَمَّ بِنَحْرِ بَعْضِ حَمَائِلِهِمْ - قَالَ - فَقَالَ عُمَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ جَمَعْتَ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ أَزْوَادِ الْقَوْمِ فَدَعَوْتَ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهَا . قَالَ فَفَعَلَ - قَالَ - فَجَاءَ ذُو الْبُرِّ بِبُرِّهِ وَذُو التَّمْرِ بِتَمْرِهِ - قَالَ وَقَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ وَذُو النَّوَاةِ بِنَوَاهُ - قُلْتُ وَمَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ بِالنَّوَى قَالَ كَانُوا يَمُصُّونَهُ وَيَشْرَبُونَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ . قَالَ فَدَعَا عَلَيْهَا - قَالَ - حَتَّى مَلأَ الْقَوْمُ أَزْوِدَتَهُمْ - قَالَ - فَقَالَ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ " أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لاَ يَلْقَى اللَّهَ بِهِمَا عَبْدٌ غَيْرَ شَاكٍّ فِيهِمَا إِلاَّ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
