Sahih Muslim 36a
Salim (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported on the authority of his father that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) heard a man censuring his brother regarding modesty. Upon this the Prophet remarked modesty ( ِالْحَيَاء) is part of Iman.
سالمؒ اپنے والد سے بیان کرتے ہیں، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک آدمی کو سنا وہ اپنے بھائی کو حیاء کے بارے میں نصیحت کر رہا ہے تو آپؐ نے فرمایا: ”(حیاء سے مت روکو) حیاء ایمان کا اہم جز ہے۔“
Salim (Rahmatullahi Alaih) apne walid se bayan karte hain, Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne ek aadmi ko suna woh apne bhai ko haya ke baare mein nasihat kar raha hai to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "(Haya se mat roko) haya iman ka aham juz hai."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلاً يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ فَقَالَ " الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ " .
