Chapter: The Congregation Appointing Someone To Lead Them If The Imam Is Delayed And If There Is No Fear Of Negative Repercussions

باب تَقْدِيمِ الْجَمَاعَةِ مَنْ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ إِذَا تَأَخَّرَ الإِمَامُ وَلَمْ يَخَافُوا مَفْسَدَةً بِالتَّقْدِيمِ
Sahih Muslim 421c
Sahl b. Sa'd al-Sa'idi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) went to Bani Amr bin Auf in order to bring about reconciliation amongst them. The rest of the Hadith is the same but with (the addition of these words): "The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came and made his way through the rows till he came to the first row and Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) retraced his steps."
حضرت سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بنو عمرو بن عوف کے درمیان صلح کروانے تشریف لے گئے جب کہ مذکورہ بالا راویوں نے بیان کیا ہے اور اس میں یہ اضافہ ہے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آئے اور صفوں کو چیر کر پہلی صف میں شریک ہو گئے، اور ابو بکر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ الٹے پاؤں پیچھے لوٹ آئے۔
Hazrat Sahl bin Saad (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Bano Amr bin Auf ke darmiyan sulah karwane tashreef le gaye jabke mazkoora bala raaviyon ne bayan kiya hai aur is mein yeh izafa hai, Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) aaye aur safon ko cheer kar pehli saff mein shareek ho gaye, aur Abu Bakr (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhu) ulte paon peeche laut aaye.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ، قَالَ ذَهَبَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ . بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمْ وَزَادَ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَخَرَقَ الصُّفُوفَ حَتَّى قَامَ عِنْدَ الصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ . وَفِيهِ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَجَعَ الْقَهْقَرَى .
