Sahih Muslim 48
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Shuraih al-Khuzai (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) observed : He who believes in Allah (جَلَّ ذُو) and the Last Day should do good to his neighbor, and he who believes in Allah ( ََّّ وَ جَلعَز) and the Last Day should show hospitality to the guest, and he who believes in Allah (جَلَّ ذُو) and the Last Day should either speak good or better remain silent.
حضرت ابو شریح خزاعی ؓ روایت بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو شخص اللہ اور یومِ آخرت پر ایمان رکھتا ہے وہ اپنے پڑوسی سے اچھا سلوک کرے، اور جو اللہ اور پچھلے دن پر یقین رکھتا ہے، تو وہ اپنے مہمان کی تکریم کرے، اور جو اللہ اور قیامت پر ایمان رکھتا ہے، وہ اچھی بات کہے یا پھر خاموشی اختیا ر کرے۔“
Hazrat Abu Shuraih Khuzayi (Radhi Allahu Anhu) riwayat bayan karte hain ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Jo shakhs Allah aur Yaum-e-Aakhirat par iman rakhta hai woh apne parosi se achha salook kare, aur jo Allah aur pichle din par yaqeen rakhta hai, to woh apne mehman ki takreem kare, aur jo Allah aur qayamat par iman rakhta hai, woh achhi baat kahe ya phir khamoshi ikhtiyar kare."
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، - قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، - عَنْ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، يُخْبِرُ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيُحْسِنْ إِلَى جَارِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ " .
