Sahih Muslim 520b
Ibrahim b. Yazid al-Tayml reported:I used to read the Qur'an with my father in the vestibule (before the door of the mosque). When I recited the ayat (verses) concerning prostration, he prostrated himself. I said to him: Father, do you prostrate yourself in the path? He said: I heard Abu Dharr saying: I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the mosque that was first set up on the earth. He said: Masjid Harim. I said: Then which next? He said: The Masjid al-Aqsa. I said: How long is the space of time between the two? He said: Forty years. He (then) further said: The earth is a mosque for you, so wherever you are at the time of prayer, pray there.
حضرت ابراھیم بن یزید تیمی رحمۃ اللّہ علیہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں سدہ میں (مسجد کے باہر سائبان) اپنے باپ کو قرآن مجید سنایا کرتا تھا۔ تو جب میں سجدہ والی آیت سناتا تو وہ سجدہ کر لیتے تو میں نے ان سے پوچھا: اے ابا جان! کیا آپ راستے میں ہی سجدہ کر لیتے ہیں؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا: میں نے ابوذر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا، روئے زمین پر سب سے پہلے کونسی مسجد بنائی گئی؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مسجد حرام“ میں نے عرض کیا پھر کونسی؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مسجد اقصیٰ“۔ میں نے پوچھا، دونوں کی تعمیر کے درمیان کتنا عرصہ ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”چالیس سال“۔ پھر فرمایا: ”ساری زمین تمہارے لیے مسجد ہے، جہاں نماز کا وقت ہو جائے وہیں پڑھ لو۔“
Hazrat Ibrahim bin Yazid Taimi (Rahmatullah Alayhi) se riwayat hai ke main suddah mein (masjid ke bahar saiban) apne baap ko Quran Majeed sunaya karta tha. To jab main sajda wali ayat sunata to wo sajda kar lete to main ne un se pucha: Aye aba jaan! kya aap raste mein hi sajda kar lete hain? unhon ne jawab diya: main ne Abu Dharr (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ko yeh kehte hue suna, main ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) se pucha, roye zameen par sab se pehle kaun si masjid banayi gayi? Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ‘Masjid Haram’ main ne arz kiya phir kaun si? Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ‘Masjid Aqsa’. Main ne pucha, dono ki tameer ke darmiyan kitna arsa hai? Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne farmaya: ‘Chalis saal’. Phir farmaya: ‘Saari zameen tumhare liye masjid hai, jahan namaz ka waqt ho jaye wahin parh lo.’
حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ التَّيْمِيِّ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أَقْرَأُ عَلَى أَبِي الْقُرْآنَ فِي السُّدَّةِ فَإِذَا قَرَأْتُ السَّجْدَةَ سَجَدَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَتِ أَتَسْجُدُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ أَوَّلِ مَسْجِدٍ وُضِعَ فِي الأَرْضِ قَالَ " الْمَسْجِدُ الْحَرَامُ " . قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَىٌّ قَالَ " الْمَسْجِدُ الأَقْصَى " . قُلْتُ كَمْ بَيْنَهُمَا قَالَ " أَرْبَعُونَ عَامًا ثُمَّ الأَرْضُ لَكَ مَسْجِدٌ فَحَيْثُمَا أَدْرَكَتْكَ الصَّلاَةُ فَصَلِّ " .
