Chapter: It is recommended to seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave, the punishment of hell, the trials of life and death, the tribulation of the Dajjal and from sin and debt between the tashah-hud and the taslim

باب اسْتِحْبَابِ التَّعَوُّذِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
Sahih Muslim 586b
Masruq reported this Hadith on the authority of Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) who said, never did he (the Prophet ﷺ) say prayer after this in which I did not hear him seeking refuge from the torment of the grave.
مسروق حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے مذکورہ بالا روایت بیان کرتے ہیں اور اس میں یہ اضافہ ہے کہ اس کے بعد آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کوئی نماز نہیں پڑھی مگر اس صورت میں کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو عذاب قبر سے پناہ مانگتے سنا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس میں قبر کے عذاب سے پناہ مانگی۔
Masrooq Hazrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha) se mazkoora bala riwayat bayan karte hain aur is mein yeh izafa hai ke is ke baad Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne koi namaz nahi parhi magar is surat mein ke Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ko azab-e-qabr se panah maangte suna Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne is mein qabr ke azab se panah maangi.
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَفِيهِ قَالَتْ وَمَا صَلَّى صَلاَةً بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ إِلاَّ سَمِعْتُهُ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ .
