Chapter: The prohibition of asking too much with no need. The prohibition of withholding the rights of others and asking of them, which means refusing to give others their rights and asking for that to which one is not entitles

باب النَّهْيِ عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْمَسَائِلِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَاجَةٍ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنْ مَنْعٍ وَهَاتٍ وَهُوَ الاِمْتِنَاعُ مِنْ أَدَاءِ حَقٍّ لَزِمَهُ أَوْ طَلَبُ مَا لاَ يَسْتَحِقُّهُ
Sahih Muslim 593g
A Hadith like this has been transmitted on the authority of Mansur with a slight variation of words.
امام صاحب سے یہی روایت ایک اور استاد کی سند سے، منصور کی مذکورہ بالا سند سے بیان کرتے ہیں، مگر اس میں یہ ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حرام قرار دیا ہے، یہ نہیں کہا، ”اللہ نے تم پر حرام ٹھہرایا ہے۔“
Imam Sahab se yehi riwayat ek aur ustad ki sanad se, Mansoor ki mazkurah bala sanad se bayan karte hain, magar is mein yeh hai ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne haram qarar diya hai, yeh nahi kaha: Allah ne tum par haram thehraya hai.
وَحَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ . مِثْلَهُ . غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . وَلَمْ يَقُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ .
