Chapter: The characteristics of the hypocrite

باب بَيَانِ خِصَالِ الْمُنَافِقِ
Sahih Muslim 59c
'Uqba b. Mukarram al-'Ami reported that he heard 'Ala' b. 'Abdur-Rahman narrating this hadith with this chain of transmitters and he said:Three are the signs of a hypocrite, even if he observed fast and prayed and asserted that he was a Muslim.
حضرت ابو ہریرہ ؓ نے مذکورہ بالا حدیث بیان کی اور کہا: منافق کی علامات تین ہیں اگرچہ وہ روزہ رکھتا ہو، نماز پڑھتا ہو اور اپنے آپ کو مسلمان سمجھتا ہو۔"
Hazrat Abu Huraira (Radhi Allahu Anhu) ne mazkoora bala hadith bayan ki aur kaha: munafiq ki alamat teen hain agarchis woh roza rakhta ho, namaz parhta ho aur apne aap ko Musalman samajhta ho."
حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَبُو زُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْعَلاَءَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، يُحَدِّثُ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ " آيَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلاَثٌ وَإِنْ صَامَ وَصَلَّى وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ مُسْلِمٌ " .
