Sahih Muslim 610b
Ibn Shihab reported:Umar b. 'Abd al-'Aziz one day deferred the prayer. 'Urwa b. Zubair came to him and informed him that one day as Mughira b. Shu'ba was in Kufa (as its governor), he deferred the prayer, Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari came to him and said: What is this, O Mughira? Did you know that it was Gabriel who came and said prayer and (then) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the prayer (along with him), then (Gabriel) prayed and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) also prayed, then (Gabriel) prayed and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) also prayed, then (Gabriel) prayed and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed (along with him). then Gabriel prayed and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) also prayed (along with him) and then said: This is how I have been ordered to do. 'Umar (b. 'Abd al-'Aziz) said. O 'Urwa be mindful of what you are saying that Gabriel (peace be upon him) taught the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) the times of prayer. Upon this 'Urwa said: This is how Bashir b. Abu Mas'ud narrated on the authority of his father
امام ابن شہاب رحمتہ اللہ علیہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک دن عمر بن عبدالعزیز نے نماز مؤخر کر دی (دیر سے پڑھی) تو ان کے پاس عروہ بن زبیر حاضر ہوئے اور انہیں بتایا، مغیرہ بن شعبہ نے ایک دن کوفہ میں نماز دیر سے پڑھی تو ان کے پاس ابو مسعود انصاری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ تشریف لائے اور پوچھا یہ کیا کیا؟ اے مغیرہ! کیا تمہیں علم نہیں ہے جبریل اترے اور نماز پڑھائی اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز (اس کے ساتھ) پڑھی، پھر اس نے نماز پڑھی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھی پھر اس نے نماز پڑھی اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھی، پھر اس نے نماز پڑھی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھی، پھر اس نے نماز پڑھی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھی، پھر جبریل نے کہا، آپ کو اس کا حکم دیا گیا ہے۔ تو عمر نے عروہ سے کہا اے عروہ! سوچو کیا بیان کر رہے ہو، کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نماز کے اوقات جبریل ؑ نے سکھائے تھے؟ تو عروہ نے کہا بشیر بن ابی مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اپنے باپ سے ایسے ہی بیان کرتے تھے۔
Imam Ibn Shihab (Rahmatullah Alayhi) bayan karte hain ke ek din Umar bin Abdul Aziz ne namaz mo'akhkhar kar di (dair se parhi) to un ke paas Urwa bin Zubair hazir hue aur unhein bataya, Mughira bin Shuba ne ek din Kufa mein namaz dair se parhi to un ke paas Abu Mas'ood Ansari (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) tashreef laye aur pucha yeh kya kiya? Aye Mughira! kya tumhein ilm nahi hai Jibril utre aur namaz parhayi aur Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne namaz (is ke saath) parhi, phir is ne namaz parhi to Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne namaz parhi phir is ne namaz parhi aur Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne namaz parhi, phir is ne namaz parhi to Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne namaz parhi, phir is ne namaz parhi to Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne namaz parhi, phir Jibril ne kaha, Aap ko is ka hukm diya gaya hai. To Umar ne Urwa se kaha aye Urwa! socho kya bayan kar rahe ho, kya Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ko namaz ke auqat Jibril (Alayhis Salam) ne sikhaye thay? to Urwa ne kaha Bashir bin Abi Mas'ood (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) apne baap se aise hi bayan karte thay.
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، أَخَّرَ الصَّلاَةَ يَوْمًا فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ أَخَّرَ الصَّلاَةَ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ بِالْكُوفَةِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا يَا مُغِيرَةُ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ قَالَ " بِهَذَا أُمِرْتُ " . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لِعُرْوَةَ انْظُرْ مَا تُحَدِّثُ يَا عُرْوَةُ أَوَإِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ هُوَ أَقَامَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقْتَ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ كَذَلِكَ كَانَ بَشِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ .
