Sahih Muslim 639a
Abdullah bin Umar narrated that they waited one night in expectation of the Apostle of Allah ( صلى ہللا عليه و آلهوسلم) for the last prayer of the night, and he came out to us when a third of the night had passed even after that. We do not know whether he had been occupied with family business or something else. When he came out he said, ‘you are waiting for prayer, for which the followers of no other religion wait except you. Were it not a burden for my Ummah, I would have led them (in the Isha prayer) at this hour. He then ordered the Mu'adh-dhin (to call for prayer) and then stood up for prayer and observed prayer.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک رات ہم عشاء کی نماز کے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے انتظار میں رکے رہے تو رات کا تہائی گزرنے پر یا اس کے بعد آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف لائے ہمیں معلوم نہیں گھر کی کوئی مشغولیت تھی یا کچھ اور تھا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نکل کر فرمایا: ”بے شک تم ایسی نماز کے انتظار میں ہو کہ کسی اور دین والے اس کے منتظر نہیں اور اگر مجھے یہ ڈر نہ ہوتا کہ یہ میری امت کے لیے گرانی کا سبب ہو گا تو میں انہیں اسی گھڑی نماز پڑھایا کرتا۔“ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مؤذن کو حکم دیا اس نے نماز کے لیے اقامت کہی اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھائی۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke ek raat hum Isha ki namaz ke liye Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ke intezar mein ruke rahe toh raat ka tihayi guzarne par ya uske baad Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) tashreef laaye humein maloom nahi ghar ki koi mashghooliyat thi ya kuch aur tha toh Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne nikal kar farmaya: 'Beshak tum aisi namaz ke intezar mein ho ke kisi aur deen wale iske muntazir nahi aur agar mujhe yeh darr na hota ke yeh meri ummat ke liye girani ka sabab hoga toh mein unhein isi ghari namaz parhaya karta.' Phir Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne muazzin ko hukm diya usne namaz ke liye iqamat kahi aur Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ne namaz parhayi.
وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، - قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ، زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، - عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ مَكَثْنَا ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ نَنْتَظِرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم - لِصَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا حِينَ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ فَلاَ نَدْرِي أَشَىْءٌ شَغَلَهُ فِي أَهْلِهِ أَوْ غَيْرُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ حِينَ خَرَجَ " إِنَّكُمْ لَتَنْتَظِرُونَ صَلاَةً مَا يَنْتَظِرُهَا أَهْلُ دِينٍ غَيْرُكُمْ وَلَوْلاَ أَنْ يَثْقُلَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَصَلَّيْتُ بِهِمْ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ " . ثُمَّ أَمَرَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ وَصَلَّى .
