Chapter: Praying in dwellings when it is raining

باب الصَّلاَةِ فِي الرحَالِ فِي الْمَطَرِ
Sahih Muslim 699d
Abdullah bin Harith reported that Ibn Abbas commanded the Mu'adh-dhin to (give Adhan on Friday and tell them to prayer in their houses) as it was raining (heavily). The rest of the Hadith is the same (except this) that he said, ‘I do not like you should walk in muddy slippery place.
عبداللہ بن حارث بیان کرتے ہیں کہ انہی عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما کے مؤذن (جمعہ کے دن جب بارش ہورہی تھی) اذان دی، آگے ابن علیہ (اسماعیل) کی طرح حدیث بیان کی اور ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے کہا، میں نے اس بات کو ناپسند کیا کہ تم کیچڑ اور پھسلن میں چل کر آؤ۔
Abdullah bin Harith bayan karte hain ke unhi Abbas (Radiyallahu Anhuma) ke muazzin (Juma ke din jab barish horahi thi) azan di, aage Ibn Aliyah (Ismail) ki tarah hadith bayan ki aur Ibn Abbas (Radiyallahu Anhuma) ne kaha, maine is baat ko napasand kiya ke tum keecharr aur phislan mein chal kar aao.
وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ، صَاحِبُ الزِّيَادِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ فِي يَوْمٍ مَطِيرٍ . فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ وَقَالَ وَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ تَمْشُوا فِي الدَّحْضِ وَالزَّلَلِ .
