Sahih Muslim 709a
Bara (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that when they prayed behind the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) they cherished to be on his right side so that his face would turn towards them (at the end of the prayer), and he (the narrator) said, ‘I heard him say, O my Lord, save me from Your torment on the Day when You would raise or gather Your servants’.
حضرت براء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جب ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی اقتدا میں نماز پڑھتے تو ہم آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی دائیں طرف ہونا پسند کرتے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رخ ہماری طرف کرتے تھے (یعنی دائیں طرف مڑتے تھے) براء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بتایا کہ میں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: (اے میرے رب! جس دن تو اپنے بندوں کو اٹھائے گا یا جمع کرے گا، مجھے اپنے عذاب سے بچانا۔)
Hazrat Bara (Radiyallahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke jab hum Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ki iqtida mein namaz parhte toh hum Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ki dayein taraf hona pasand karte. Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) rukh hamari taraf karte thay (yani dayein taraf murte thay) Bara (Radiyallahu Anhu) ne bataya ke maine Aap (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ko yeh farmate huay suna: (Ae mere Rab! Jis din tu apne bandon ko uthaye ga ya jama kare ga, mujhe apne azab se bachana.)
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْبَرَاءِ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَحْبَبْنَا أَنْ نَكُونَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ يُقْبِلُ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ - قَالَ - فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ " رَبِّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ - أَوْ تَجْمَعُ - عِبَادَكَ " .
