Sahih Muslim 739
It was narrated that Abu Ishaq said, he asked AI-Aswad bin Yazid what Ummul Momineen Aisha ( رضي الله تعالى عنها) had told him about the prayer of the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). She said, he used to sleep for the first part of the night and stay up for the latter part. Then if he had any need (for intimacy) from his wife he would satisfy that need, then he would go to sleep. When the first call to prayer was made he jumped up (by Allah, she did not say ‘he stood up’), and poured water over him (by Allah she did not say that he took a bath but I know what she meant) and if he was not junub, he performed ablution, just as a man performs ablution for prayer and then observed two rak'a.
ابو اسحاق کہتے ہیں، میں نے اسود بن یزید سے اس حدیث کے بارے میں پوچھا، جو اسے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز کے بارے میں بیان کی تھی عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے بتایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رات کے پہلے حصہ میں سو جاتے اور آخری حصہ میں بیدار ہو جاتے، پھر اگر بیوی سے کوئی ضرورت ہوتی تو اپنی ضرورت پوری کرتے پھر سو جاتے، جب پہلی اذان کا وقت ہوتا تو (بستر سے) اچھل پڑتے، اللہ کی قسم عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے وَثَبَ (کودنا، اچھلنا) کہا، قَامَ (اٹھنا) نہیں کہا، پھر اپنے اوپر پانی بہاتے، اللہ کی قسم عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے غسل نہیں کہا، اَفَاضَ عَلَیْهِ الْماَءَ کہا۔
Abu Ishaq kehte hain, mein ne Aswad bin Yazid se is hadith ke baare mein pucha, jo isay Hazrat Aisha (Radiyallahu Anha) ne Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ki namaz ke baare mein bayan ki thi Aisha (Radiyallahu Anha) ne bataya ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) raat ke pehle hissa mein so jate aur aakhri hissa mein bidaar ho jate, phir agar biwi se koi zaroorat hoti toh apni zaroorat poori karte phir so jate, jab pehli azan ka waqt hota toh (bistar se) uchal parte, Allah ki qasam Aisha (Radiyallahu Anha) ne 'wathaba' (koodna, uchalna) kaha, 'qama' (uthna) nahi kaha, phir apne upar pani bahate, Allah ki qasam Aisha (Radiyallahu Anha) ne ghusal nahi kaha, 'afaza alayhil ma-a' kaha.
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ الأَسْوَدَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ عَمَّا حَدَّثَتْهُ عَائِشَةُ، عَنْ صَلاَةِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَتْ كَانَ يَنَامُ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَيُحْيِي آخِرَهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ قَضَى حَاجَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَنَامُ فَإِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ النِّدَاءِ الأَوَّلِ - قَالَتْ - وَثَبَ - وَلاَ وَاللَّهِ مَا قَالَتْ قَامَ - فَأَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ - وَلاَ وَاللَّهِ مَا قَالَتِ اغْتَسَلَ . وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ مَا تُرِيدُ - وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ جُنُبًا تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَ الرَّجُلِ لِلصَّلاَةِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ .
