Sahih Muslim 905a
Asma (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that the sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). As I went to Ummul Momineen A'isha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) who was busy in prayer. I said, ‘what is the matter with the people that they are praying (a special prayer)? She pointed towards the sky with her head. I said, ‘is it (an unusual) sign’? She said, ‘yes’. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) stood up for prayer for such a long time that I was about to faint. I caught hold of a waterskin lying by my side, and began to pour water over my head, or (began to sprinkle water) on my face. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) then finished, and the sun had brightened. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) then addressed the people, (after) praising Allah and lauding Him, and then said, ‘there was no such thing as I did not see earlier, but I saw it at this very place of mine. I ever saw Paradise and Hell. It was also revealed to me that you would be tried in the graves, as you would he tried something like the turmoil of the Dajjal. Asma (رضي الله تعالى عنها) said, ‘I do not know which word he actually used ( َْ مِثْلِ يبًا أَوقَر), and each one of you would be brought and it would be said, ‘what is your knowledge about this man’? If the person is a believer, (Asma رضي الله تعالى عنها said, I do not know whether it was the word ُالْمُؤْمِنُ أَوِ الْمُوقِن) he would say, ‘he is Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and he is the Apostle of Allah. He brought to us the clear signs and right guidance. So, we responded and obeyed him. (He would repeat this three times), and it would be said to him, ‘you should go to sleep. We already knew that you are a believer in him. So, the pious man would go to sleep. So far as the hypocrite or sceptic is concerned (Asma رضي الله تعالى عنها said, I do not know which word was that, ُالْمُنَافِق (hypocrite) or ُْ تَابالْمُر (doubtful) he would say, I do not know. I only uttered whatever I heard people say’.
حضرت اسماء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں: کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے دور میں سورج کوگہن لگ گیا، تو میں عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے پاس آئی اور وہ نماز پڑھ رہی تھیں، میں نے پوچھا:لوگوں کا کیا حال ہے وہ نماز پڑھ رہے ہیں؟ تو انھوں نے اپنے سر سے آسمان کی طرف اشارہ کیا۔ تو میں نے پوچھا: کوئی نشانی ظاہر ہوئی ہے؟ انھوں نے کہا: ہاں، اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بہت ہی طویل قیام کیا، حتی کہ مجھ پر غشی طاری ہو گئی۔ میرے پہلو میں مشک پڑی ہوئی تھی میں نے وہ لے لی اور اپنے سر یا اپنے چہرے پر پانی ڈالنے لگی۔ حضرت اسماء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کہتی ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز سے اس وقت فارغ ہوئے جبکہ سورج روشن ہو چکا تھا۔ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو خطاب فرمایا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کی حمد اور اس کی ثناء بیان کی۔ پھر فرمایا: ”امابعد! کوئی چیز ایسی نہیں جس کا میں نے مشاہدہ نہیں کیا تھا۔ مگر اب میں نے اپنی اس جگہ اس کا مشاہدہ کرلیا ہے۔حتی کہ جنت اور دوزخ کو بھی دیکھ لیا ہے۔ واقعہ یہ ہے کہ مجھ پر یہ وحی کی گئی ہے کہ تم قبروں میں مسیح دجال کے فتنہ وامتحان کے برابر یا اس کے قریب آزمائے جاؤ گے، راوی کہتا ہے مجھے معلوم نہیں۔ اسماء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے ان میں سے کون سا لفظ کہا، اور تم میں سے ہر ایک کے پاس فرشتے آ کر پوچھیں گے، تیری اس انسان کے بارے میں کیا معلومات ہیں؟ رہا مومن یا موقن (یقین رکھنے والا) مجھے معلوم نہیں اسماء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے کون سا لفظ ان میں سے کہا۔ تو وہ جواب دے گا۔ یہ محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہیں۔ اور یہ اللہ کے رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) ہیں۔ ہمارے پاس کھلے دلائل اور ہدایت لے کر آئے۔ ہم نے ان کی بات کو قبول کیا اور اطاعت کی۔ تین دفعہ سوال وجواب ہو گا۔ اسے کہا جائے گا۔ سو جاؤ۔ہمیں خوب علم ہے کہ تیرا ان پر ایمان ہے، مزے سے سو جا، اور رہا منافق یا شک وشبہ میں مبتلا شخص،معلوم نہیں اسماء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے ان میں سے کون سالفظ کہا،تو وہ کہے گا۔لوگوں کو میں نے کچھ کہتے ہوئے سنا وہی میں نے کہہ دیا۔
Hazrat Asma (radiyallahu ta'ala anha) bayan karti hain: ke Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) ke daur mein sooraj ko gahan lag gaya, to main Aisha (radiyallahu ta'ala anha) ke paas aayi aur wo namaz parh rahi thin, main ne poocha: logon ka kya haal hai wo namaz parh rahe hain? To unhon ne apne sar se aasman ki taraf ishaara kiya. To main ne poocha: koi nishani zahir hui hai? Unhon ne kaha: haan, aur Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) ne bahut hi taweel qiyam kiya, hatta ke mujh par ghashi tari ho gayi. Mere pehlu mein mashk pari hui thi main ne wo le li aur apne sar ya apne chehre par pani dalne lagi. Hazrat Asma (radiyallahu ta'ala anha) kehti hain, Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) namaz se is waqt farigh hue jabke sooraj roshan ho chuka tha. To Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) ne logon ko khitab farmaya. Allah ta'ala ki hamd aur is ki sana bayan ki. Phir farmaya: "Amma ba'd! koi cheez aisi nahi jis ka main ne mushahida nahi kiya tha. Magar ab main ne apni is jagah is ka mushahida karliya hai. Hatta ke jannat aur dozakh ko bhi dekh liya hai. Waqia ye hai ke mujh par ye wahi ki gayi hai ke tum qabron mein Maseeh Dajjal ke fitna wa imtehan ke barabar ya is ke qareeb azmaye jao ge, raawi kehta hai mujhe maloom nahi Asma (radiyallahu ta'ala anha) ne in mein se kaun sa lafz kaha, aur tum mein se har ek ke paas farishte aa kar poochein ge, teri is insan ke baare mein kya maloomat hain? Raha momin ya moqin (yaqeen rakhne wala) mujhe maloom nahi Asma (radiyallahu ta'ala anha) ne kaun sa lafz in mein se kaha. To wo jawab de ga. Ye Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) hain. Aur ye Allah ke Rasool (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) hain. Hamare paas khule dalail aur hidayat le kar aaye. Hum ne in ki baat ko qabool kiya aur itaat ki. Teen dafa sawal-o-jawab ho ga. Ise kaha jaye ga. So jao. Hamein khoob ilm hai ke tera in par iman hai, maze se so ja. Aur raha munafiq ya shak-o-shubha mein mubtala shakhs, maloom nahi Asma (radiyallahu ta'ala anha) ne in mein se kaun sa lafz kaha, to wo kahe ga. Logon ko main ne kuch kehte hue suna wahi main ne keh diya."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ، قَالَتْ خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي فَقُلْتُ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ يُصَلُّونَ فَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَقُلْتُ آيَةٌ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ . فَأَطَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْقِيَامَ جِدًّا حَتَّى تَجَلاَّنِي الْغَشْىُ فَأَخَذْتُ قِرْبَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ إِلَى جَنْبِي فَجَعَلْتُ أَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِي أَوْ عَلَى وَجْهِي مِنَ الْمَاءِ - قَالَتْ - فَانْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَدْ تَجَلَّتِ الشَّمْسُ فَخَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم النَّاسَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " أَمَّا بَعْدُ مَا مِنْ شَىْءٍ لَمْ أَكُنْ رَأَيْتُهُ إِلاَّ قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا حَتَّى الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ وَإِنَّهُ قَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ قَرِيبًا أَوْ مِثْلَ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ - لاَ أَدْرِي أَىَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ - فَيُؤْتَى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُقَالُ مَا عِلْمُكَ بِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ أَوِ الْمُوقِنُ - لاَ أَدْرِي أَىَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ - فَيَقُولُ هُوَ مُحَمَّدٌ هُوَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى فَأَجَبْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا . ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ نَمْ قَدْ كُنَّا نَعْلَمُ إِنَّكَ لَتُؤْمِنُ بِهِ فَنَمْ صَالِحًا وَأَمَّا الْمُنَافِقُ أَوِ الْمُرْتَابُ - لاَ أَدْرِي أَىَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ - فَيَقُولُ لاَ أَدْرِي سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ شَيْئًا فَقُلْتُ " .
