Explanation of Surah At-Tin

تفسير سورة والتين

Mustadrak Al Hakim 3951

Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding the statement of Allah Almighty: "By the fig and the olive," (it refers to) the fruit that people eat. And regarding "And Mount Sinai," you said that 'Tur' is a mountain and 'Sinai' (means) blessed. ** This hadith is Sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him), but the two Sheikhs (may Allah have mercy on them) did not narrate it.

" حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما ، اللہ تعالیٰ کے ارشاد : وَ التِّیْنِ وَ الزَّیْتُوْنِ کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں ( اس سے مراد ) وہ پھل ہے جو لوگ کھاتے ہیں ۔ وَ طُوْرِ سِیْنِیْنَ آپ فرماتے ہیں ’’ طور ‘‘ پہاڑ ہے اور ’’ سینین ‘‘ ( کا معنی ہے ) برکت والا ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا ۔"

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a Allah Ta'ala ke irshad: Wa tinteeni wazzaitoon Ke mutalliq farmate hain (is se murad) woh phal hai jo log khate hain. Wa toori sineen Aap farmate hain ''Toor'' pahar hai aur ''Seneen'' (ka mani hai) barkat wala. ** Yeh hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Sheikhain Rahmatullah Alaihima ne ise naqal nahin kiya.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ} [التين: 1] قَالَ: «الْفَاكِهَةُ الَّتِي يَأْكُلُهَا النَّاسُ» {وَطُورِ سِينِينَ} [التين: 2] قَالَ: {الطُّورُ} [البقرة: 63] الْجَبَلُ، وَ {سِينِينَ} [التين: 2] قَالَ: «الْمُبَارَكُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ "" [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 3951 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم

Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever recites the Quran is saved from the worst of old age, so that (lest) he may not know anything despite having knowledge (meaning that he may not be deprived of intellect and consciousness) and this is the meaning of Allah Almighty's saying: "Then We will return him to the lowest of the low, Except for those who believe (the meaning of "Except for those who believe" is) Except for those who recite the Quran."

" حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں : جو قرآن پڑھتا ہے اس کو ارذل عمر سے بچا لیا جاتا ہے تاکہ ( کہیں ایسا نہ ہو ) کہ وہ علم کے باوجود کچھ نہ جانے ( یعنی کہیں وہ عقل و شعور سے محروم نہ ہو جائے ) اور یہ ہے اللہ تعالیٰ کے اس ارشاد کا مطلب : ثُمَّ رَدَدْٰنہُ اَسْفَلَ سَافِلِیْنَ اِلَّا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا ( الا الذین امنوا کا مطلب ہے ) الَّا الَّذِیْنَ قَرؤُوْا الْقُرْآن ( مگر وہ لوگ جو قرآن پڑھتے ہیں )"

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmate hain: Jo Quran parhta hai usko arzal umar se bacha liya jata hai taake ( kahin aisa na ho) keh woh ilm ke bawajood kuch na jane ( yani kahin woh aql o shuoor se mehroom na ho jaye) aur ye hai Allah Ta'ala ke us irshad ka matlab: Thumma radadnahu asfala safeleen illal lazeena aamano ( illal lazeena aamano ka matlab hai) illal lazeena qara'ul quran ( magar woh log jo Quran parhte hain).

حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: "" مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ لَمْ يُرَدَّ إِلَى أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ بَعْدَ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا، وَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا} [التين: 6] قَالَ: إِلَّا الَّذِينَ قَرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 3952 - صحيح
