They asked Wahb bin Munabbah, may Allah be pleased with him, who was Idris, peace be upon him, and in what era was he? He said: He is the grandfather of Noah, peace be upon him, whose name is 'Khanukh', and he (Idris, peace be upon him) is alive in Paradise. And Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Yasar says: Idris, peace be upon him, was the first among the children of Adam, peace be upon him, to be granted Prophethood, and he was Enoch (Khanukh) son of Yared son of Mahalalel son of Qinan son of Enosh son of Seth son of Adam.
حضرت وہب بن منبہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا گیا کہ ادریس علیہ السلام کون تھے اور وہ کون سے زمانے میں تھے ؟ انہوں نے کہا : یہ حضرت نوح علیہ السلام کے دادا ہیں ، جن کا نام ’’ خنوخ ‘‘ ہے اور وہ ( حضرت ادریس علیہ السلام ) جنت میں زندہ ہیں اور محمد بن اسحاق بن یسار کہتے ہیں : حضرت ادریس علیہ السلام ، حضرت آدم علیہ السلام کی اولاد میں سے وہ پہلے انسان ہیں جن کو نبوت عطا کی گئی اور وہ اخنوخ بن یزید بن اھلالیل بن قینان بن ناخر بن شیث بن آدم ہیں ۔
Hazrat Wahab bin Munabbah Raziallahu Anhu se poocha gaya keh Idris AlahisSalam kaun thay aur woh kaunse zamaney mein thay? Unhon ne kaha: Yeh Hazrat Nuh AlahisSalam ke dada hain, jin ka naam “Khanokh” hai aur woh (Hazrat Idris AlahisSalam) Jannat mein zinda hain aur Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Yasar kehte hain: Hazrat Idris AlahisSalam, Hazrat Adam AlahisSalam ki aulad mein se woh pehle insan hain jin ko nubuwatt ata ki gayi aur woh Khanokh bin Yazid bin Ahlaalil bin Qinan bin Nakhir bin Shees bin Adam hain.
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الْمُنْعِمِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ إِدْرِيسَ مَنْ هُوَ وَفِي أَيِّ زَمَانٍ هُوَ؟ قَالَ: «هُوَ جَدُّ نُوحٍ الَّذِي يُقَالُ لَهُ خَنُوخُ، وَهُوَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ حَيٌّ» وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ: «كَانَ إِدْرِيسُ أَوَّلَ بَنِي آدَمَ أُعْطِيَ النُّبُوَّةَ وَهُوَ أَخْنُوخُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَهْلَالِيلَ بْنِ قِينَانَ بْنِ نَاشِرِ بْنِ شِيثَ بْنِ آدَمَ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4014 - عبد المنعم بن إدريس كذبه أحمد
