Mention of Prophet Shu'ayb (peace be upon him)

Wahb bin Munabbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Allah Almighty sent Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) as a prophet to the people of Madyan, who lived among dense clusters of lush trees. They disobeyed Allah, gave short measure and weight, and squandered people's wealth. Allah had blessed them with abundant sustenance and all the comforts of life, yet they were ungrateful and denied Him. Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) said to them, 'O my people, worship Allah, for there is no deity worthy of worship except Him. And give full measure and weight, and do not diminish from the goods of the people. Indeed, I see you in prosperity, but I fear for you the torment of a Day that will engulf (you).' The dialogue between Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) and his people, and their response, is mentioned in the Holy Quran."
" حضرت وہب بن منبہ رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : اللہ تعالیٰ نے حضرت شعیب علیہ السلام کو اہل مدین کی طرف نبی بنا کر بھیجا تھا اور یہ گنجان سرسبز درختوں کے جھنڈ والے تھے ۔ یہ لوگ بھی اللہ تعالیٰ کے نافرمان تھے اور ناپ تول میں کمی اور لوگوں کے مال برباد کرنے والے تھے ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کو بہت وسیع رزق دیا تھا اور ان کو زندگی کی تمام آسائشیں عطا کی تھیں ۔ حالانکہ یہ لوگ خدا کے منکر تھے ۔ حضرت شعیب علیہ السلام نے ان سے کہا : اے میری قوم ! اللہ کی عبادت کرو اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے اور ناپ اور تول میں کمی نہ کرو ، بے شک میں تمہیں آسودہ حال دیکھتا ہوں اور مجھے تم پر گھیر لینے والے دن کے عذاب کا ڈر ہے ۔ چنانچہ حضرت شعیب علیہ السلام کی اپنی قوم سے گفتگو اور ان کی قوم کا جواب قرآن کریم میں موجود ہے ۔"

Allah ki ibadat karo is ke siwa koi mabood nahin hai aur naap aur tol mein kami na karo , be shak mein tumhen asooda haal dekhta hun aur mujhe tum par gher lene wale din ke azab ka dar hai . Chunanche Hazrat Shoaib Alaihissalam ki apni qaum se guftgu aur in ki qaum ka jawab Quran Kareem mein mojood hai .
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمُنْعِمِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَعَثَ شُعَيْبًا إِلَى أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ وَهُمْ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ فَكَانَتِ الْأَيْكَةُ مِنَ الشَّجَرِ الْمُلْتَفِّ، وَكَانُوا أَهْلَ كُفْرٍ بِاللَّهِ وَبَخْسٍ لِلنَّاسِ فِي الْمَكَايِيلِ وَالْمَوَازِينَ، وَإِفْسَادٍ لِأَمْوَالِهِمْ، وَكَانَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى وَسَّعَ عَلَيْهِمْ فِي الرِّزْقِ وَبَسَطَ لَهُمْ فِي الْعَيْشِ اسْتِدْرَاجًا مِنْهُ لَهُمْ مَعَ كُفْرِهِمْ بِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ: «يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُهُ وَلَا تَنْقُصُوا الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ إِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ بِخَيْرٍ، وَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُحِيطٌ فَكَانَ مِنْ قَوْلِ شُعَيْبٍ لِقَوْمِهِ وَجَوَابِ قَوْمِهِ لَهُ مَا قَدْ ذَكَرَ اللَّهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4073 - سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
