Mention of the narrations transmitted from the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) where they called Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) as 'the successor of the Messenger of Allah'

Mustadrak Al Hakim 4470
Saeed bin Al-Musayyab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) dispatched Yazid bin Abu Sufyan, Amr bin Al-Aas, and Shurahbil bin Hasana with the army towards Syria, he accompanied them on foot until Thaniyat al-Wada. People said, "O Caliph of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! You are walking on foot, and we are riding? (This doesn't seem right)." **This hadith is sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) but the two Sheikhs (may Allah have mercy on them) did not narrate it.**
" حضرت سعید بن المسیب رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے جب یزید بن ابوسفیان ، عمرو بن العاص اور شرحبیل بن حسنہ کو لشکر دے کر شام کی طرف روانہ کیا تو ثنیۃ الوداع تک ان کے ہمراہ پیدل چلتے رہے ، لوگوں نے کہا : اے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے خلیفہ ! آپ پیدل چل رہے ہیں ، اور ہم سوار ہیں ؟ ( یہ اچھا نہیں لگتا ) ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اس کو نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Saeed bin al-Musayyab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) farmate hain : Hazrat Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne jab Yazid bin Abu Sufyan, Amr bin al-Aas aur Sharhabeel bin Hasana ko lashkar de kar Sham ki taraf rawana kiya to Saniyatul Wida' tak un ke humrah paidal chalte rahe, logon ne kaha : Ae Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke Khalifa! Aap paidal chal rahe hain, aur hum sawaar hain? (Yeh achha nahi lagta) ** Yeh hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Sheikhain Rahmatullah Alaihema ne isko naqal nahi kiya.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا بَهْزُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، "" أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ لَمَّا بَعَثَ الْجُيُوشَ نَحْوَ الشَّامِ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، وَعَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ، وَشُرَحْبِيلَ بْنَ حَسَنَةَ، مَشَى مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى بَلَغَ ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ، فَقَالُوا: يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، تَمْشِي وَنَحْنُ رُكْبَانٌ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4470 - مرسل
