Mention of the narrations transmitted from the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) where they called Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) as 'the successor of the Messenger of Allah'

Mustadrak Al Hakim 4469
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We entered the room where Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was present at the time he was suffering from the illness that led to his death. He spoke to us in private, then said: "Are you not pleased with the matters that I have carried out?" We said: "Why not, O Caliph of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!" ** This hadith is sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) but the two Sheikhs (Bukhari and Muslim) (may Allah have mercy on them both) did not narrate it.
" حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : ہم اس حجرے میں گئے جہاں پر حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ اس وقت موجود تھے ، جب وہ اس درد میں مبتلا تھے جس میں ان کا انتقال ہوا ، آپ نے ہم سے راز کی باتیں کہیں ، پھر فرمایا : کیا تم ان امور پر راضی نہیں ہو جو میں نے سرانجام دئیے ؟ ہم نے کہا : کیوں نہیں اے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے خلیفہ ! ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اس کو نقل نہیں کیا ۔"
Hazrat Anas raziallahu anhu farmate hain : hum is hujray mein gaye jahan par Hazrat Abu Bakr raziallahu anhu us waqt mojood thay, jab woh is dard mein mubtala thay jis mein un ka inteqal hua, aap ne hum se raaz ki baatein kahin, phir farmaya : kya tum in umoor par razi nahin ho jo maine sar anjam diye? Hum ne kaha : kyun nahin aye Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke khalifa! ** Yeh hadees Imam Muslim rehmatullah alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Sheekhain rehmatullah alaihama ne is ko naqal nahin kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ قَالَ: طُفْنَا بِغُرْفَةٍ فِيهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ حِينَ أَصَابَهُ وَجَعُهُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ، فَاطَّلَعَ عَلَيْنَا اطِّلَاعَةً فَقَالَ: "" أَلَيْسَ تَرْضَوْنَ بِمَا أَصْنَعُ؟ قُلْنَا: بَلَى يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4469 - على شرط مسلم
