Virtues of Amir al-Mu'minin, Umar ibn Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him)
فضائل أمير المؤمنين حضرة عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه
Mustadrak Al Hakim 4485
It is narrated on the authority of Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha Radi Allahu Anha that the Holy Prophet ﷺ prayed, "O Allah! Grant honor to Islam, especially through Umar ibn al-Khattab Radi Allahu Anhu." ** This hadith is sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, but the two Sheikhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not narrate it. And this hadith is based on the hadith narrated by Shu'bi on the authority of Masruq, on the authority of Abdullah, "O Allah! Give honor to Islam with one of the two men who is more dear to You." And Mujalid bin Sa'id is unique in narrating this hadith from Shu'bi, and no narration of Mujalid has been mentioned before this.
" ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے دعا مانگی ’’ اے اللہ ! بالخصوص عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کے ذریعے اسلام کو عزت عطا فرما ‘‘ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اس کو نقل نہیں کیا ۔ اور اس حدیث کا مدار شعبی کی مسروق کے واسطے سے حضرت عبداللہ سے روایت کردہ اس حدیث پر ہے ’’ اے اللہ ! تو اسلام کو عزت عطا فرما ان دو آدمیوں میں سے کسی ایک کے ساتھ جو تجھے زیادہ پسند ہے ‘‘ اور اس حدیث کو شعبی سے روایت کرنے میں مجالد بن سعید منفرد ہیں ، اور اس سے پہلے مجالد کی کوئی روایت نقل نہیں کی ۔"
Umm ul Momineen Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne dua mangi '' Aye Allah! bilkhusooos Umar bin Khattab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke zariye Islam ko izzat ata farma ''. ** Yeh hadees Imam Bukhari Rahmatullah Alaih aur Imam Muslim Rahmatullah Alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Sheikhein Rahmatullah Alaihema ne isko naqal nahi kiya. Aur is hadees ka مدار Shabi ki masrooq ke waste se Hazrat Abdullah se riwayat kardah is hadees par hai '' Aye Allah! tu Islam ko izzat ata farma in do aadmiyon mein se kisi ek ke sath jo tujhe zyada pasand hai ''. Aur is hadees ko Shabi se riwayat karne mein Mujalid bin Saeed munfarid hain, aur is se pehle Mujalid ki koi riwayat naqal nahi ki.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْفَارِسِيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأُوَيْسِيُّ، ثنا الْمَاجِشُونُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الْإِسْلَامَ بِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ خَاصَّةً» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ «،» وَمَدَارُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَلَى حَدِيثِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: «اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الْإِسْلَامَ بِأَحَبِّ الرَّجُلَيْنِ إِلَيْكَ» ، وَقَدْ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُجَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ وَلَمْ أَذَكُرْ لِمُجَالِدٍ فِيمَا قَبْلُ رِوَايَتَهُ "" [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4485 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم
