بیان معرفة الصحابة الكرام رضوان الله علیهم
Mention of the avoidance of combat by Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him)
تذكرة تجنب حضرة سعد بن أبي وقاص رضي الله عنه القتال
Mustadrak Al Hakim 4627
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Call to me the 'Chief of the Arabs'." Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Messenger of Allah, are you not the Chief of the Arabs?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "I am the Chief of all the children of Adam, and Ali is the 'Chief of the Arabs'."
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : میرے پاس ’’ عرب کے سردار ‘‘ کو بلاؤ ، ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کی : یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! کیا آپ ( خود ) عرب کے سردار نہیں ہیں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : میں تو آدم علیہ السلام کی پوری اولاد کا سردار ہوں اور علی ’’ عرب کا سردار ‘‘ ہے ۔
Hazrat Jabir Raziallahu Anhu farmate hain keh Rasool Allah SAW ne farmaya: mere pass "Arab ke Sardar" ko bulao, Ummulmomineen Hazrat Ayesha Raziallahu Anha ne arz ki: Ya Rasool Allah SAW! kya aap (khud) Arab ke Sardar nahi hain? Aap SAW ne farmaya: main to Adam Alaihissalam ki poori aulad ka Sardar hoon aur Ali "Arab ka Sardar" hai.
وَلَهُ شَاهِدٌ آخَرُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «ادْعُوا لِي سَيِّدَ الْعَرَبِ» فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: أَلَسْتَ سَيِّدَ الْعَرَبِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ فَقَالَ: «أَنَا سَيِّدُ وَلَدِ آدَمَ، وَعَلِيٌّ سَيِّدُ الْعَرَبِ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4626 - وضعه ابن علوان
