Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I used to serve the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Once, a roasted bird was presented to him. He prayed, "O Allah! Send me someone who is most beloved to You among all creation, so he may eat this bird with me." ( Anas said) I was praying, "O Allah! Grant this honor to one of the Ansar." Then Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived. But I told him (to postpone) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was busy at the moment. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came back (after a while), but I told him the same thing again, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was busy. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came again (after a short while), so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself said, "Open the door." (I opened the door) and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came in. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Why did you keep waiting outside?" Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "Anas sent me back three times. Perhaps he thought you were busy." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), "O Anas! Why did you do that?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I heard your prayer and I wished that this honor should be bestowed upon someone from my people." So, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Undoubtedly, a person loves his people." ** This Hadith is Sahih (authentic) according to the criteria of Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him), but both of them did not narrate it. The same Hadith has been narrated by a whole group of more than 30 companions from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him). Then this Hadith, with a Sahih chain of narrators, is also narrated by Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) and Safinah (may Allah be pleased with him). And in the narration of Thabit al-Bunani from Anas, there are some additional words. (which are as follows) ".
" حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں : میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت کیا کرتا تھا ( ایک دفعہ ) ایک بھنا ہوا پرندہ آپ کی خدمت میں پیش کیا گیا ۔ آپ نے دعا مانگی : یا اللہ ! تو میرے پاس ایسے آدمی کو بھیج جو تمام مخلوقات سے زیادہ تجھے پیارا ہو اور وہ میرے ساتھ یہ پرندہ کھائے ۔ ( حضرت انس ) فرماتے ہیں : ( میں یہ دعا مانگ رہا تھا ) یا اللہ ! یہ شرف کسی انصاری کو عطا فرما ۔ پھر حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ تشریف لے آئے ۔ لیکن میں نے ان کو یہ کہہ ( کر ٹال ) دیا کہ ابھی رسول اللہ ﷺ مصروف ہیں ۔ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ ( کچھ دیر بعد ) دوبارہ آئے تو میں نے تب بھی یہی کہا کہ فی الوقت رسول اللہ ﷺ مصروف ہیں ۔ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ ( تھوڑی دیر بعد ) پھر تشریف لے آئے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے خود فرمایا : دروازہ کھو لو ، ( میں نے دروازہ کھولا ) تو حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ اندر تشریف لے آئے ۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : آپ باہر کیوں رکے رہے ؟ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کی : انس نے مجھے تین مرتبہ واپس بھیجا ہے یہ شاید یہ سمجھ رہے تھے کہ آپ مصروف ہیں ۔ آپ ﷺ نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا : اے انس ! تم نے ایسا کیوں کیا ؟ میں نے کہا : یا رسول اللہ ﷺ میں نے آپ کی دعا سنی تھی اور میں چاہتا تھا کہ یہ مرتبہ میری قوم کے کسی فرد کے حصہ میں آئے ، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : بے شک انسان اپنی قوم سے محبت کرتا ہے ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث امام بخاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور امام مسلم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کے معیار کے مطابق صحیح ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اس کو نقل نہیں کیا ۔ اسی حدیث کو 30 سے زائد صحابہ کرام کی پوری ایک جماعت نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ کے حوالے سے روایت کیا ہے ۔ پھر یہ حدیث سند صحیح کے ہمراہ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ ، حضرت ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ اور حضرت سفینہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے بھی مروی ہے ۔ اور ثابت البنانی کی حضرت انس کے حوالے روایت کردہ حدیث میں کچھ الفاظ زائد ہیں ۔ ( جو کہ درج ذیل ہے )"
Hazrat Anas bin Malik razi Allah anhu farmate hain : mein Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat kya karta tha ( ek dafa ) ek bhuna hua parinda aap ki khidmat mein pesh kiya gaya . Aap ne dua maangi : Ya Allah ! tu mere pas aise aadmi ko bhej jo tamam makhlooqat se ziada tujhe pyara ho aur wo mere sath ye parinda khaye . ( Hazrat Anas ) farmate hain : ( mein ye dua mang raha tha ) Ya Allah ! ye sharaf kisi ansari ko ata farma . Phir Hazrat Ali razi Allah anhu tashrif le aaye . Lekin maine un ko ye kah ( kar taal ) diya ke abhi Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) masroof hain . Hazrat Ali razi Allah anhu ( kuch der bad ) dobara aaye to maine tab bhi yahi kaha ke fil waqt Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) masroof hain . Hazrat Ali razi Allah anhu ( thori der bad ) phir tashrif le aaye to Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne khud farmaya : darwaza kho lo , ( maine darwaza khola ) to Hazrat Ali razi Allah anhu andar tashrif le aaye . Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya : aap bahar kyun ruke rahe ? Hazrat Ali razi Allah anhu ne arz ki : Anas ne mujhe teen martaba wapas bheja hai ye shayad ye samajh rahe the ke aap masroof hain . Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hazrat Anas razi Allah anhu se pucha : ae Anas ! tum ne aisa kyun kiya ? maine kaha : ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) maine aap ki dua suni thi aur mein chahta tha ke ye martaba meri qaum ke kisi fard ke hissa mein aaye , to Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya : be shak insan apni qaum se mohabbat karta hai . ** ye hadees Imam Bukhari rehmatullah alaih aur Imam Muslim rehmatullah alaih ke miyaar ke mutabiq sahih hai lekin Sheikhain rehmatullah alaihima ne is ko naqal nahin kiya . Isi hadees ko 30 se ziada sahaba kiram ki poori ek jamaat ne Hazrat Anas razi Allah anhu ke hawale se riwayat kiya hai . Phir ye hadees sanad sahih ke hamrah Hazrat Ali razi Allah anhu , Hazrat Abusaid razi Allah anhu aur Hazrat Safinah razi Allah anhu se bhi marvi hai . Aur Sabit al-Banani ki Hazrat Anas ke hawale riwayat kardah hadees mein kuch alfaz zaid hain . ( jo ke darj zel hai )"
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الصَّفَّارُ وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّيَّاتُ قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عِيَاضِ بْنِ أَبِي طَيْبَةَ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَخْدُمُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُدِّمَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرْخٌ مَشْوِيٌّ، فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُمُ ائْتِنِي بِأَحَبِّ خَلْقِكَ إِلَيْكَ يَأْكُلُ مَعِي مِنْ هَذَا الطَّيْرِ» قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: اللَّهُمُ اجْعَلْهُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حَاجَةٍ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حَاجَةٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «افْتَحْ» فَدَخَلَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا حَبَسَكَ عَلَيَّ» فَقَالَ: إِنَّ هَذِهِ آخِرَ ثَلَاثِ كَرَّاتٍ يَرُدَّنِي أَنَسٌ يَزْعُمُ إِنَّكَ عَلَى حَاجَةٍ، فَقَالَ: «مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى مَا صَنَعْتَ؟» فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، سَمِعْتُ دُعَاءَكَ، فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلًا مِنْ قَوْمِي، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ: «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ قَدْ يُحِبُّ قَوْمَهُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ "" وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ زِيَادَةً عَلَى ثَلَاثِينَ نَفْسًا، ثُمَّ صَحَّتِ الرِّوَايَةُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ وَسَفِينَةَ، وَفِي حَدِيثِ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ زِيَادَةُ أَلْفَاظٍ [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 4650 - ابن عياض لا أعرفه
