Statement of Knowing the Companions of the Prophet (may Allah be pleased with them)

بیان معرفة الصحابة الكرام رضوان الله علیهم
The virtues of Hazrat Abu Hudhaifah. They are Hashim bin Atba bin Rabia bin Abdul Shams bin Abdul Manaf Allah's friends and enemies are their sons. In the 53rd or 54th year of the Hijri year, the battle of Imamah was martyred.
حضرة أبو حذيفة، رضي الله عنه، أفضله. هذه هشيم بن عتبة بن ربيعة بن عبد شمس بن عبد مناف، أصدقاء له وأعداء الله ورسوله، استشهد في السنة الثانية عشرة للهجرة في سن 53 أو 54 عاماً، في معركة يمامة.

Ibrahim bin Al-Mundhir said: The name of Abu Huzaifa bin Utbah bin Rabi'ah, may Allah be pleased with him, is Hisham, and it has also been said that the name of Abu Huzaifa, may Allah be pleased with him, is Hasal.
ابراہیم بن المنذر فرماتے ہیں ابوحذیفہ بن عتبہ بن ربیعہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا نام ہشیم ہے ، اور یہ بھی کہا گیا ہے کہ ابوحذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا نام ’’ حسل ‘‘ ہے ۔
Ibraheem bin al Mundhir farmate hain Abu Huzaifa bin Utbah bin Rabiah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka naam Hashim hai, aur yeh bhi kaha gaya hai ki Abu Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka naam Husl hai.
كَمَا أَخْبَرْنَاهُ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَا: أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَبُو يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ: " أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ اسْمُهُ هُشَيْمٌ وَقِيلَ: اسْمُ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ حِسْلٌ "
