Ahmad ibn Zuhayr ibn Harb narrates from his father that the Kunya (patronymic) of Habib ibn Maslamah, may Allah be pleased with him, was "Abu Abdur Rahman".
احمد بن زہیر بن حرب اپنے والد کا یہ بیان نقل کرتے ہیں کہ حبیب بن مسلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی کنیت ’’ ابوعبدالرحمن ‘‘ تھی ۔
Ahmad bin Zuhair bin Harb apne walid ka yeh bayan naql karte hain ke Habib bin Muslimah Radi Allaho Anhu ki kunniyat ''Abu Abdur Rahman'' thi.
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَدْلُ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ النَّسَوِيُّ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ: " كُنْيَةُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ: أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ "
