Chapter: Time Limit For Wiping Over The Khuffs

باب التَّوْقِيتِ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ لِلْمُسَافِرِ ‏‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 126

It was narrated that Zirr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said : "I asked Safwan bin 'Assal ( رضي الله تعالیعنہ) about wiping over the Khuffs, and he said: 'The Apostle of Allah ( صلى ہللا عليه و آلهوسلم) used to tell us, when we were traveling, to wipe over our Khuffs and not take them off for three nights in the event of defecating, urinating or sleeping; (except) only in the case of Janabah.'"

صفوان بن عسال رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے بحالت سفر ہم کو تین دن اور تین راتیں اپنے موزے نہ اتارنے کی اجازت دی تھی۔

Sufaan bin Asal (رضي الله تعالى عنه)u kehte hain ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne bahalat safar hum ko teen din aur teen raatien apne moze na utarne ki ijazat di thi.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ، قَالَ رَخَّصَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا كُنَّا مُسَافِرِينَ أَنْ لاَ نَنْزِعَ خِفَافَنَا ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيَهُنَّ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i 127

It was narrated that Hadhrat Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said : "The Apostle of Allah ( صلى ہللا عليهو آله وسلم) set a time limit of three days and three nights for the traveler, and one day and one night for the resident with regards to wiping (over the Khuffs)."

زر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے صفوان بن عسال رضی اللہ عنہ سے موزوں پر مسح کے بارے میں پوچھا؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: جب ہم مسافر ہوتے تو ہمیں رسول اللہ ﷺ حکم دیتے کہ ہم اپنے موزوں پر مسح کریں، اور اسے تین دن تک پیشاب، پاخانہ اور نیند کی وجہ سے نہ اتاریں سوائے جنابت کے۔

Zar kehte hain ke main ne Safwan bin Asal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se mozoon par masah ke bare mein poocha? To unhon ne kaha: Jab hum musafir hote to hamen Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hukm dete ke hum apne mozoon par masah karein, aur ise teen din tak peshab, pakhana aur neend ki wajah se na utarin siwae janaabat ke.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرُّهَاوِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، وَمَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، وَزُهَيْرٌ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ وَسُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ عَسَّالٍ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ، عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْمُرُنَا إِذَا كُنَّا مُسَافِرِينَ أَنْ نَمْسَحَ عَلَى خِفَافِنَا وَلاَ نَنْزِعَهَا ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ غَائِطٍ وَبَوْلٍ وَنَوْمٍ إِلاَّ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ ‏.‏
