Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that a man entered the masjid when the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was standing and delivering the Khutbah. He turned to face the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) standing and said, ‘O Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), our wealth has been destroyed and the routes have been cut off. Pray to Allah ( َع ه وَجَلهز) to send us rain’. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raised his hands then said, ‘O Allah ( هعَز وَجَله), send us rain’. Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, ‘By Allah ( ه وَجَلهعَز), we had not seen even a wisp of a cloud in the sky and there were no houses or buildings between us and (the mountain of) Sal’. Then a cloud like a shield appeared, and when it reached the middle of the sky it spread and it began to rain. Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, ‘By Allah ( ه وَجَلهعَز), we did not see the sun for a week’. Then a man entered through that door on the following Friday, when the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was standing and delivering the Khutbah. He turned to face him standing and said, ‘O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), may Allah ( ه وَجَلهعَز) send blessings upon you. Our wealth has been destroyed and the routes have been cut off. Pray to Allah ( هعَز وَجَله) to withhold (the rain) from us’. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raised his hands and said, ‘O Allah ( ه وَجَلهعَز), around us and not on us. O Allah ( ه وَ جَلهعَز), on the hills and mountains, the bottoms of the valleys and where the trees grow’. Then it stopped raining and we went out walking in the sun. Sharik said, ‘I asked Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه), 'Was he the same man?' He said, ‘No’.

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک آدمی مسجد میں داخل ہوا، اور رسول اللہ ﷺ کھڑے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، تو وہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی طرف رخ کر کے کھڑا ہو گیا، اور کہنے لگا: اللہ کے رسول! مال ( جانور ) ہلاک ہو گئے، اور راستے بند ہو گئے، آپ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کیجئیے کہ وہ ہمیں سیراب کرے، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھائے، اور دعا کی: «اللہم أغثنا اللہم أغثنا» اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب فرما، اے اللہ ہمیں سیراب فرما ۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: قسم اللہ کی! ہم کو آسمان میں کہیں بادل یا بادل کا کوئی ٹکڑا دکھائی نہیں دے رہا تھا، اور ہمارے اور سلع پہاڑی کے بیچ کسی گھر یا مکان کی آڑ نہ تھی، اتنے میں ڈھال کے مانند بادل کا ایک ٹکڑا نمودار ہوا، پھر جب وہ آسمان کے درمیان میں پہنچا تو پھیل گیا، اور برسنے لگا۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: قسم اللہ کی! ہم نے ایک ہفتہ تک سورج نہیں دیکھا۔ پھر اگلے جمعہ میں اسی دروازے سے ایک آدمی داخل ہوا، اور رسول اللہ ﷺ کھڑے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، تو وہ آپ کی طرف چہرہ کر کے کھڑا ہو گیا، اور اس نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! اللہ کا سلام و صلاۃ ( درود و رحمت ) ہو آپ پر! مال ہلاک ہو گئے ( جانور مر گئے ) ، اور راستے بند ہو گئے، آپ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کیجئیے کہ وہ ہم سے اسے روک لے، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اپنے ہاتھ اٹھائے، اور دعا کی: «اللہم حوالينا ولا علينا اللہم على الآكام والظراب وبطون الأودية ومنابت الشجر» اے اللہ! ہمارے اردگرد برسا، ہم پر نہ برسا، اے اللہ! ٹیلوں، چوٹیوں، گھاٹیوں اور درختوں کے اگنے کی جگہوں پر برسا یہ کہنا تھا کہ بادل چھٹ گئے، اور ہم نکل کر دھوپ میں چل رہے تھے۔ شریک بن عبداللہ بن ابی نمر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: کیا یہ وہی پہلا شخص تھا، تو انہوں نے کہا: نہیں ۔
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke aik aadmi masjid mein dakhil huwa, aur Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khare khutba de rahe the, to woh Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki taraf rukh kar ke khada ho gaya, aur kahne laga: Allah ke Rasool! Mal ( janwar ) halak ho gaye, aur raste band ho gaye, aap Allah Ta'ala se dua kijaiye ke woh hamein sirab kare, to Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne dono hath uthaye, aur dua ki: «Allahumma aghthina Allahumma aghthina» aey Allah! Hamein sirab farma, aey Allah hamein sirab farma. Ins (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain: Qasam Allah ki! Hum ko aasman mein kahin badal ya badal ka koi tukra dikhayi nahin de raha tha, aur hamare aur Sal'a pahari ke bich kisi ghar ya makan ki a'd nah thi, itne mein dhal ke manind badal ka ek tukra numoodar hua, phir jab woh aasman ke darmiyan mein pahuncha to phail gaya, aur barsne laga. Ins (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain: Qasam Allah ki! Hum ne ek hafta tak suraj nahin dekha. Phir agle jum'a mein usi darwaze se ek aadmi dakhil huwa, aur Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khare khutba de rahe the, to woh aap ki taraf chehra kar ke khada ho gaya, aur us ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Allah ka salam o salat ( durood o rahmat ) ho aap par! Mal halak ho gaye ( janwar mar gaye ), aur raste band ho gaye, aap Allah Ta'ala se dua kijaiye ke woh hum se ise rok le, to Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne hath uthaye, aur dua ki: «Allahumma hawalaena wa la 'alaina Allahumma 'ala al-akam wa al-zarab wa batun al-audiya wa manabat al-shajar» aey Allah! Hamare ard gird barsa, hum par na barsa, aey Allah! Teilon, chotiyon, ghatiyon aur darakhton ke agne ki jagahon par barsa yeh kahna tha ke badal chhut gaye, aur hum nikal kar dhoop mein chal rahe the.
