Muhammad bin Juhadah reported from Zubaid, Sa'eed bin Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, from his father, who said that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to recite in witr, “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High” and “Say: O you disbelievers!” and “Say: He is Allah, (the) One”. And when he had finished praying, he said, ِّسُبْحَانَ الْمَلِّكِّ الْقُدُّوس [Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy] three times.

عبدالرحمٰن بن ابزیٰ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ وتر میں «سبح اسم ربك الأعلى»، «قل يا أيها الكافرون» اور «قل هو اللہ أحد»پڑھتے تھے۔

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِـ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى } وَ { قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ } وَ { قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ } .
