Bajir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) circumambulated the House seven times, walking rapidly (Raml) in the three, and walking (at a regular pace) for four. Then he stood near the Maqam and prayed two Rakah. Then he recited – ََاهِيمِ ذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْروَاتَّخمُصَلًّى [Take the spot where Ibrahim (عليه السالم) stood as your place of prayer] (Al-Baqara – 125), raising his voice, so that the people would hear. Then he went (to perform Sa’i) and said, 'we will start with that with which Allah started.' So, he started with As-Safa, climbing up, until he could see the House, and he said three times - ِ يكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَىَّ ُ وَحْدَهُ الَ شَرالَ إِلَهَ إِالَّ َّللا ٌكُل ِ شَىْءٍ قَدِير [There is no God but Allah alone with no partner or associate, His is the dominion and to Him be praise, He gives life and death, and He has power over all things].' Then exclaimed Allah's greatness, then he supplicated as much as was decreed for him. Then he came down walking until he reached level ground at the bottom of the valley. Then he hastened until the ground began to rise. Then he walked until he came to Al-Marwah and climed over it, and when he could see the House, he said - ُِ يكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهَّ ُ وَحْدَهُ الَ شَرالَ إِلَهَ إِالَّ َّللا الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَ يُمِيتُ وَ هُوَ عَلَى ٌكُل ِ شَىْءٍ قَدِير [There is no God but Allah alone with no partner or associate, His is the dominion and to Him be praise, He gives life and death, and He has power over all things]. He said that three times, then he remembered Allah and glorified and praised Him, then he supplicated there for as long as Allah willed. And he did that until he finished Sa’i.’

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے بیت اللہ کے سات پھیرے کئے ان میں سے تین میں رمل کیا اور چار میں عام چال چلے پھر مقام ابراہیم کے پاس کھڑے ہو کر دو رکعات پڑھیں، پھر آپ نے آیت کریمہ: «واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى» ”مقام ابراہیم کو نماز کی جگہ بناؤ“ پڑھی اور اپنی آواز بلند کی آپ لوگوں کو سنا رہے تھے۔ پھر آپ وہاں سے پلٹے اور جا کر حجر اسود کا استلام کیا اور فرمایا: کہ ہم وہیں ( سعی ) شروع کریں گے جہاں سے اللہ تعالیٰ نے ( اپنی کتاب میں ) شروع کی ہے، تو آپ نے صفا سے سعی شروع کی اور اس پر چڑھے یہاں تک کہ آپ کو بیت اللہ دکھائی دینے لگا تو آپ نے تین مرتبہ «لا إله إلا اللہ وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شىء قدير» کہا، پھر آپ نے اللہ کی تکبیر اور تحمید کی۔ اور دعا کی جواب آپ کے لیے مقدر تھی، پھر آپ پیدل چل کر نیچے اترے یہاں تک کہ آپ کے دونوں قدم وادی کے نشیب میں رہے پھر دوڑے یہاں تک کہ آپ کے دونوں قدم بلندی پر چڑھے، پھر عام چال چلے یہاں تک کہ مروہ کے پاس آئے اور اس پر چڑھے پھر خانہ کعبہ آپ کو دکھائی دینے لگا تو آپ نے «لا إله إلا اللہ وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شىء قدير» تین بار کہا۔ پھر اللہ کا ذکر کیا اور اس کی تسبیح و تحمید کی۔ اور دعا کی جو اللہ کو منظور تھی ہر بار ایسا ہی کیا یہاں تک کہ سعی سے فارغ ہوئے۔
Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Baitullah ke saat phirre kiye in mein se teen mein Ramal kiya aur chaar mein aam chal chale phir Maqam Ibraheem ke pass khare ho kar do rakat padheen, phir aap ne Aayat Kareema: «Watakhazoo min Maqam Ibraheem Masla» “Maqam Ibraheem ko namaz ki jagah banaoo” padhi aur apni awaz بلند ki aap logon ko suna rahe the. Phir aap wahaan se paltte aur ja kar Hajar Aswad ka isalam kiya aur farmaaya: ke hum wahan ( Sa'i ) shuru karenge jahaan se Allah Ta'ala ne ( apni kitab mein ) shuru ki hai, to aap ne Safa se Sa'i shuru ki aur is par chare yahaan tak ke aap ko Baitullah dikhayi dene laga to aap ne teen martaba «La Ilaha Illallahu Wahdah Laa Sharika Lah Lahul Mulku Wa Lahul Hamdu Wa Huwa 'ala Kulli Shay'in Qadeer» kaha, phir aap ne Allah ki takbir aur tahmeed ki. Aur dua ki jawab aap ke liye muqaddar thi, phir aap paidal chal kar neeche utre yahaan tak ke aap ke donon qadam wadi ke nashib mein rahe phir daude yahaan tak ke aap ke donon qadam bulandi par chare, phir aam chal chale yahaan tak ke Marwa ke pass aaye aur is par chare phir Khanah Ka'aba aap ko dikhayi dene laga to aap ne «La Ilaha Illallahu Wahdah Laa Sharika Lah Lahul Mulku Wa Lahul Hamdu Wa Huwa 'ala Kulli Shay'in Qadeer» teen bar kaha. Phir Allah ka zikr kiya aur us ki tasbeeh wa tahmeed ki. Aur dua ki jo Allah ko manzoor thi har bar aisa hi kiya yahaan tak ke Sa'i se farigh hue.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ طَافَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا رَمَلَ مِنْهَا ثَلاَثًا وَمَشَى أَرْبَعًا ثُمَّ قَامَ عِنْدَ الْمَقَامِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ { وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى } وَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ يُسْمِعُ النَّاسَ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَاسْتَلَمَ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ فَقَالَ " نَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ " . فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّفَا فَرَقِيَ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى بَدَا لَهُ الْبَيْتُ فَقَالَ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ " لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ " . فَكَبَّرَ اللَّهَ وَحَمِدَهُ ثُمَّ دَعَا بِمَا قُدِّرَ لَهُ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ مَاشِيًا حَتَّى تَصَوَّبَتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي بَطْنِ الْمَسِيلِ فَسَعَى حَتَّى صَعِدَتْ قَدَمَاهُ ثُمَّ مَشَى حَتَّى أَتَى الْمَرْوَةَ فَصَعِدَ فِيهَا ثُمَّ بَدَا لَهُ الْبَيْتُ فَقَالَ " لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ " . قَالَ ذَلِكَ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ وَسَبَّحَهُ وَحَمِدَهُ ثُمَّ دَعَا عَلَيْهَا بِمَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَعَلَ هَذَا حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنَ الطَّوَافِ .
