Jafar bin Muhammad bin 'Ali bin Husain narrated that his father said, we went to Jabir bin Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and I said, 'tell me about the Hajj of the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He said, 'the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) stoned the Jamarat which is by the tree, with seven pebbles, saying the Takbir with each pebble, pebbles that were the size of data stones or fingertips. And he threw them from the bottom of the valley, then he went to the place of sacrifice in Mina.’

ابو جعفر محمد بن علی بن حسین باقر کہتے ہیں کہ ہم جابر بن عبداللہ کے پاس گئے تو میں نے ان سے کہا: آپ ہمیں نبی اکرم ﷺ کے حج کا حال بتائیے، تو انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اس جمرہ کو جو درخت کے قریب ہے سات کنکریاں ماریں، ہر کنکری کے ساتھ آپ تکبیر کہہ رہے تھے، کنکریاں اتنی چھوٹی تھیں جو چٹکی میں آ سکیں۔ آپ نے وادی کے اندر سے رمی کی، پھر آپ منحر ( قربان گاہ ) کی طرف پلٹے اور قربانی کی۔
Abu Ja'far Muhammad bin Ali bin Husain Baqir kehte hain ke hum Jaber bin Abdullah ke pas gaye to maine un se kaha: Aap humen Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke Hajj ka hal bataiye, to unhon ne kaha: Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is Jamra ko jo darakht ke qareeb hai saat kankriyaan maari, har kankri ke sath Aap takbir keh rahe the, kankriyaan itni chhoti theen jo chatki mein aa sakin. Aap ne wadi ke andar se rami ki, phir Aap Munhar ( qurban gah ) ki taraf palte aur qurbani ki.
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ دَخَلْنَا عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ الَّتِي عِنْدَ الشَّجَرَةِ بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ مِنْهَا حَصَى الْخَذْفِ رَمَى مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى الْمَنْحَرِ فَنَحَرَ .
