Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘the adulterer is not a believer at the moment when he is committing adultery, and the wine drinker is not a believer at the moment when he is drinking wine, and the thief is not a believer at the moment when he is stealing, and the robber is not a believer at the moment when he is robbing and people are looking on.’

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”زانی جب زنا کرتا ہے تو وہ مومن باقی نہیں رہتا، شرابی جب شراب پیتا ہے تو وہ مومن باقی نہیں رہتا، چور جب چوری کرتا ہے تو وہ مومن باقی نہیں رہتا، اور جب وہ کوئی ایسی چیز لوٹتا ہے، جس کی طرف لوگ نظریں اٹھا کر دیکھتے ہوں تو وہ مومن باقی نہیں رہتا“۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Zani jab zina karta hai to woh mumin baqi nahin rehta, sharabi jab sharab peeta hai to woh mumin baqi nahin rehta, chor jab chori karta hai to woh mumin baqi nahin rehta, aur jab woh koi aisi cheez lootta hai, jis ki taraf log nazrein uthha kar dekhte hon to woh mumin baqi nahin rehta".
أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَزْنِي الزَّانِي حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ شَارِبُهَا حِينَ يَشْرَبُهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَسْرِقُ السَّارِقُ حِينَ يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَنْتَهِبُ نُهْبَةً يَرْفَعُ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ فِيهَا أَبْصَارَهُمْ حِينَ يَنْتَهِبُهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ " .
