It was narrated that An-Nu'man bin Bashir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said: "I am the most knowledgeable of people about the time of the 'Isha' prayer. The Prophet ( صلى هللا عليه و آلهوسلم) used to pray it when the moon set on the third night of the month."

نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ عنہم کہتے ہیں کہ میں اس نماز یعنی عشاء آخرہ کا وقت لوگوں سے زیادہ جانتا ہوں، رسول اللہ ﷺ اسے تیسری تاریخ کا چاند ڈوبنے کے وقت پڑھتے ۔
Nauman bin Bashir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main is namaz yani Isha akhir ka waqt logoon se zyada janta hoon, Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ise teesri tareekh ka chaand dubne ke waqt padhte ۱؎.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ رَقَبَةَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ أَنَا أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ، بِمِيقَاتِ هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةِ عِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّيهَا لِسُقُوطِ الْقَمَرِ لِثَالِثَةٍ .
