'Abdul-'Aziz bin 'Abdul-Malik bin Abu Mahdhurah narrated that 'Abdullah bin Muhairiz - who was an orphan under the care of Abu Mahdhurah (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) until he prepared him to go to Syria - informed him : he said : "I said to Abu Mahdhurah (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) : 'I am going to Syria and I am afraid that I will be asked about how you say the Adhan." 'He told me that Abu Mahdhurah (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) said to him, I went out with a group of people and we were somewhere on the road to Hunain when the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) was coming back from Hunain. The Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) met us somewhere on the road and the Muadh-dhin of the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) called the Adhan for prayer in the presence of the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم). We heard the voice of the Muadh-dhin and we were careless about it (the Adhan), so we started yelling, imitating and mocking it. The Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) heard us, so he sent some people who brought us to stand in front of him. He said, 'Who is the one whose voice I heard so loud?' The people all pointed to me, and they were telling the truth. He sent them all away, but kept me there and said to me: 'Stand up and call the Adhan for the Prayer.' I stood up and the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) taught me the Adhan himself. He Said, 'Say - ََّ ُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ الَّ ُ أَكْبَرُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ الَ إِلَهَ إِالَّ َّللاَّ ُ أَكْبَرُ َّللاَّ ُ أَكْبَرُ َّللاَّ ُ أَكْبَرُ َّللااللَّ َّإِلَهَ إِال ََّّ ِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَ سُولُ َّللاَّ ُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا ر َّللا ِ ََّ سُولُ َّللامُحَمَّدًا ر[ Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; I bear witness that there is no God except Allah, I bear witness that there is no God except Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad is the Apostle Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Apostle Allah] .' Then he said: 'Then repeat and say in a loud voice - ََّ ُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ الَ إِلَهأَشْهَدُ أَنْ الَ إِلَهَ إِالَّ َّللا َّ ِ حَىَّ عَلَىَ سُولُ َّللاَّ ِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَ سُولُ َّللاَّ ُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رإِالَّ َّللا ََّ ُ أَكْبَرُ الَ إِلَهَّ ُ أَكْبَرُ َّللاالصَّالَةِ حَىَّ عَلَى الصَّالَةِ حَىَّ عَلَى الْفَالَحِ حَىَّ عَلَى الْفَالَحِ َّللا ُ َّإِالَّ َّللا[ I bear witness that there is no God except Allah, I bear witness that there is no God except Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah; Come to prayer, come to prayer; come to prosperity, come to prosperity; Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there is no God except Allah].' Then he called me when I had finished saying the Adhan, and he gave me a bundle in which there was some silver. I said : 'O Apostle of Allah ( صلى للا عليهو آله وسلم), let me be the one doing the Adhan in Makkah.' He said : 'I command you to do so.' Then I came to 'Attab bin Asid (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) who was the governor of the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) in Makkah and I called the Adhan for prayer with him upon the orders of the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم)."

عبداللہ بن محیریز جو ابومحذورہ کے زیر پرورش ایک یتیم کے طور پر رہے تھے یہاں تک کہ انہوں نے ان کے شام کے سفر کے لیے سامان تیار کیا ) کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابو محذورہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا: میں شام جا رہا ہوں، اور میں ڈرتا ہوں کہ آپ کی اذان کے متعلق مجھ سے کہیں سوال کیا جائے ( اور میں جواب نہ دے پاؤں، اس لیے مجھے اذان سکھا دو ) ، تو آپ نے کہا: میں چند لوگوں کے ساتھ نکلا، رسول اللہ ﷺ کے حنین سے لوٹتے وقت ہم حنین کے راستہ میں تھے، ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ سے راستے میں ملے، آپ ﷺ کے مؤذن نے نماز کے لیے آپ ﷺ کے پاس ( ہی ) اذان دی، ہم نے مؤذن کی آواز سنی، تو ہم اس کی نقل اتارنے، اور اس کا مذاق اڑانے لگے، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے آواز سنی تو ہمیں بلوایا تو ہم آ کر آپ کے سامنے کھڑے ہو گئے، آپ ﷺ نے پوچھا: میں نے ( ابھی ) تم میں سے کس کی آواز سنی ہے؟ تو لوگوں نے میری جانب اشارہ کیا، اور انہوں نے سچ کہا تھا، آپ نے ان سب کو چھوڑ دیا، اور مجھے روک لیا اور فرمایا: اٹھو اور نماز کے لیے اذان دو، تو میں اٹھا، آپ ﷺ نے بذات خود مجھے اذان سکھائی، آپ نے فرمایا: کہو: «اللہ أكبر اللہ أكبر»، «اللہ أكبر اللہ أكبر»، «أشهد أن لا إله إلا اللہ»، «أشهد أن لا إله إلا اللہ»، «أشهد أن محمدا رسول اللہ»، «أشهد أن محمدا رسول اللہ»، پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: دوبارہ اپنی آواز کھینچو ( بلند کرو ) ، پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: کہو! «أشهد أن لا إله إلا اللہ»، «أشهد أن لا إله إلا اللہ»، «أشهد أن محمدا رسول اللہ»،«أشهد أن محمدا رسول اللہ»، «حى على الصلاة»، «حى على الصلاة»، «حى على الفلاح»، «حى على الفلاح»، «اللہ أكبر اللہ أكبر»، «لا إله إلا اللہ»، پھر جس وقت میں نے اذان پوری کر لی تو آپ نے مجھے بلایا، اور ایک تھیلی دی جس میں کچھ چاندی تھی، میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! مجھے مکہ میں اذان دینے پر مامور فرما دیجئیے، تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: میں نے تمہیں اس کے لیے مامور کر دیا ، چنانچہ میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے عامل عتاب بن اسید رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس مکہ آیا تو میں نے ان کے ساتھ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے حکم سے نماز کے لیے اذان دی۔
AbdulLlah bin Muhayyriz jo Abu Muhazzurah ke zeer parwarish ek yateem ke tor par rahe the yaha tak ke unhon ne un ke sham ke safar ke liye saman taiyar kiya ) kahte hain ke main ne Abu Muhazzurah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se kaha: main shaam ja raha hoon, aur main darta hoon ke aap ki azan ke mutalliq mujh se kahin sawal kiya jaye ( aur main jawab na de paoon, is liye mujhe azan sikha do ) , to aap ne kaha: main kuchh logoon ke sath nikla, Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke Hunain se lautte waqt hum Hunain ke raste mein the, hum Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se raste mein mile, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke mu'azzen ne namaz ke liye aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass ( hee ) azan di, hum ne mu'azzen ki awaz suni, to hum is ki nakal utarne, aur is ka mazaq udane lage, Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne awaz suni to humein bulaya to hum aa kar aap ke samne khade ho gaye, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne poochha: main ne ( abhi ) tum mein se kis ki awaz suni hai? to logon ne meri janib ishara kiya, aur unhon ne sach kaha tha, aap ne in sab ko chhod diya, aur mujhe rok liya aur farmaaya: utho aur namaz ke liye azan do, to main utha, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne bizat khud mujhe azan sikhayi, aap ne farmaaya: kaho: «Allah Akbar Allah Akbar», «Allah Akbar Allah Akbar», «Ashhadu anna la ilaha illa Allah», «Ashhadu anna la ilaha illa Allah», «Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasool Allah», «Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasool Allah», phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaaya: dobaarah apni awaz kheencho ( بلند کرو ) , phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaaya: kaho! «Ashhadu anna la ilaha illa Allah», «Ashhadu anna la ilaha illa Allah», «Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasool Allah»,«Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasool Allah», «Hayya alal salati», «Hayya alal salati», «Hayya alal falah», «Hayya alal falah», «Allah Akbar Allah Akbar», «La ilaha illa Allah», phir jis waqt main ne azan puri kar li to aap ne mujhe bulaya, aur ek thaili di jis mein kuchh chandi thi, main ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! mujhe Makkah mein azan dene par mamur farma dijiye, to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaaya: main ne tumhen is ke liye mamur kar diya , chananch main Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke aamil Utab bin Asid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke pass Makkah aaya to main ne un ke sath Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hukm se namaz ke liye azan di.
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، وَيُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُحَيْرِيزٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ - وَكَانَ، يَتِيمًا فِي حَجْرِ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ حَتَّى جَهَّزَهُ إِلَى الشَّامِ - قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ إِنِّي خَارِجٌ إِلَى الشَّامِ وَأَخْشَى أَنْ أُسْأَلَ عَنْ تَأْذِينِكَ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ أَبَا مَحْذُورَةَ قَالَ لَهُ خَرَجْتُ فِي نَفَرٍ فَكُنَّا بِبَعْضِ طَرِيقِ حُنَيْنٍ مَقْفَلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ حُنَيْنٍ فَلَقِيَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ فَأَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالصَّلاَةِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَمِعْنَا صَوْتَ الْمُؤَذِّنِ وَنَحْنُ عَنْهُ مُتَنَكِّبُونَ فَظَلِلْنَا نَحْكِيهِ وَنَهْزَأُ بِهِ فَسَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الصَّوْتَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْنَا حَتَّى وَقَفْنَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَيُّكُمُ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ صَوْتَهُ قَدِ ارْتَفَعَ " . فَأَشَارَ الْقَوْمُ إِلَىَّ وَصَدَقُوا فَأَرْسَلَهُمْ كُلَّهُمْ وَحَبَسَنِي فَقَالَ " قُمْ فَأَذِّنْ بِالصَّلاَةِ " . فَقُمْتُ فَأَلْقَى عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم التَّأْذِينَ هُوَ بِنَفْسِهِ قَالَ " قُلِ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " ارْجِعْ فَامْدُدْ صَوْتَكَ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " قُلْ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ حَىَّ عَلَى الصَّلاَةِ حَىَّ عَلَى الصَّلاَةِ حَىَّ عَلَى الْفَلاَحِ حَىَّ عَلَى الْفَلاَحِ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ " . ثُمَّ دَعَانِي حِينَ قَضَيْتُ التَّأْذِينَ فَأَعْطَانِي صُرَّةً فِيهَا شَىْءٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مُرْنِي بِالتَّأْذِينِ بِمَكَّةَ . فَقَالَ " قَدْ أَمَرْتُكَ بِهِ " . فَقَدِمْتُ عَلَى عَتَّابِ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ عَامِلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَكَّةَ فَأَذَّنْتُ مَعَهُ بِالصَّلاَةِ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
