Sunan an-Nasa'i 1358
Simak bin Harb (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated, ‘I said to Jabir bin Samurah (رضي الله تعالى عنه), ‘did you used to sit with the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)?’ He said, ‘yes’. When the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had prayed fajr, he would sit in the place where he had prayed until the sun rose, and his companions would talk and remember things from the time of Jahilliyah and recite poetry, and they would laugh and he would smile’.

سماک بن حرب کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: آپ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ بیٹھا کرتے تھے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: ہاں ( پھر انہوں نے بیان کیا ) کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب نماز فجر پڑھ لیتے تو اپنی نماز کی جگہ پر بیٹھے رہتے یہاں تک کہ سورج نکل آتا، پھر آپ کے صحابہ آپ سے میں بات چیت کرتے، جاہلیت کے دور کا ذکر کرتے، اور اشعار پڑھتے، اور ہنستے اور رسول اللہ ﷺ بھی مسکراتے۔
Samak bin Harb kehte hain ke main ne Jaber bin Samurah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se poochha: Aap Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath baithe karte the? To unhon ne kaha: Haan (phir unhon ne bayan kiya) ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab namaz fajr padh lete to apni namaz ki jagah par baithe rahte yahin tak ke sooraj nikal aata, phir aap ke sahaaba aap se mein baat cheet karte, jahiliyat ke dour ka zikr karte, aur ash'aar padhte, aur hanste aur Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bhi muskrate.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، وَذَكَرَ، آخَرَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ كُنْتَ تُجَالِسُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ نَعَمْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ جَلَسَ فِي مُصَلاَّهُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَيَتَحَدَّثُ أَصْحَابُهُ يَذْكُرُونَ حَدِيثَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَيُنْشِدُونَ الشِّعْرَ وَيَضْحَكُونَ وَيَتَبَسَّمُ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
