Sunan an-Nasa'i 1474
Hisham bin Urwah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated from his father that Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) said, ‘the sun was eclipsed during the time of the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) led the people in prayer. He stood for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood for a long time, but it was shorter than the first standing, then he bowed for a long time but it was shorter than the first bowing. Then he stood up, then he prostrated, then he did the same in the second rak'a, and when he finished the eclipse had ended. Then he addressed the people, he praised and glorified Allah ( ََّّ وَ جَلعَز), then he said, ‘The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah (جَلَّ ذُو). They do not become eclipsed for the death or birth of anyone. If you see that then call upon Allah (جَلَّ ذُو), the Mighty and Sublime, and magnify Him, and give charity’. Then he said, ‘O Ummah of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), there is no one more averse than Allah (جَلَّ ذُو), when his male or female slave commits zina. O Ummah of Muhammad ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), by Allah (جَلَّ ذُو), if you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much’.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے زمانے میں سورج گرہن لگا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی، آپ نے لمبا قیام کیا، پھر لمبا رکوع کیا، پھر لمبا قیام کیا، اور یہ پہلے قیام سے کم تھا، پھر لمبا رکوع کیا، اور یہ پہلے رکوع سے کم تھا، پھر آپ نے رکوع سے سر اٹھایا، اور سجدہ کیا، پھر آپ نے دوسری رکعت میں بھی اسی طرح کیا، پھر آپ فارغ ہوئے اس حال میں کہ سورج صاف ہو چکا تھا، تو آپ نے لوگوں کو خطاب کیا، پہلے آپ نے اللہ کی حمد و ثنا کی، پھر فرمایا: سورج اور چاند اللہ تعالیٰ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں، ان دونوں کو نہ کسی کے مرنے سے گرہن لگتا ہے، اور نہ ہی کسی کے جینے سے، تو جب تم اسے دیکھو تو اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کرو، اور اس کی بڑائی بیان کرو، اور صدقہ کرو ، پھر آپ نے فرمایا: اے امت محمد! اللہ تعالیٰ سے زیادہ کوئی اس بات پر غیرت کرنے والا نہیں کہ اس کا غلام یا لونڈی زنا کرے، اے امت محمد! قسم اللہ کی، اگر تم وہ جانتے جو میں جانتا ہوں، تو تم ہنستے کم اور روتے زیادہ ۔
Am-ul-Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehti hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke zamane mein Sooraj grahan laga to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne logon ko namaz padhai, Aap ne lamba qiyam kiya, phir lamba rukoo kiya, phir lamba qiyam kiya, aur yeh pehle qiyam se kam tha, phir lamba rukoo kiya, aur yeh pehle rukoo se kam tha, phir Aap ne rukoo se sar uthaya, aur sajda kiya, phir Aap ne doosri rakat mein bhi isi tarah kiya, phir Aap farigh hue is hal mein ke Sooraj saaf ho chuka tha, to Aap ne logon ko khatab kiya, pehle Aap ne Allah ki hamd o sana ki, phir farmaya: Sooraj aur chaand Allah Ta'ala ki nishaniyon mein se do nishaniyan hain, in dono ko nahin kisi ke marne se grahan lagta hai, aur nahin hi kisi ke jeene se, to jab tum ise dekho to Allah Ta'ala se dua karo, aur is ki badai bayan karo, aur sadaqah karo, phir Aap ne farmaya: Aye ummat Muhammad! Allah Ta'ala se ziada koi is baat par ghairat karne wala nahin ke is ka gulam ya londi zina kare, Aye ummat Muhammad! Qasam Allah ki, agar tum woh jante ho jo main jantta hoon, to tum hanste kam aur rote ziada.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالنَّاسِ فَقَامَ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الأَوَّلِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ وَهُو دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الأَوَّلِ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَسَجَدَ ثُمَّ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُخْرَى مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ وَقَدْ تَجَلَّتِ الشَّمْسُ فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لاَ يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكَبِّرُوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " يَا أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ أَغْيَرُ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ يَزْنِيَ عَبْدُهُ أَوْ تَزْنِيَ أَمَتُهُ يَا أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلاً وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا " .
