Sunan an-Nasa'i 1577
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘If you say to your companion, 'Be quiet and listen' when the Imam is delivering the Khutba, you have engaged in idle speech’.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: جب تم نے اپنے ساتھی سے کہا: خاموش رہو، اور امام خطبہ دے رہا ہو تو تم نے لغو حرکت کی ۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se Riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Farmaya: Jab tum ne apne sathi se kaha: Khamosh raho, aur Imam Khutbah de raha ho to tum ne laghu harkat ki.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ أَنْصِتْ وَالإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ " .
