Sunan an-Nasa'i 1631
Amr bin Aws narrated that he heard Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-'As (رضي الله تعالى عنه) say that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘The most beloved of fasting to Allah (جَلَّ ذُو) is the fasting of Dawud (عليه السالم). He used to fast one day and not the next. And the most beloved of prayer to Allah (جَلَّ ذُو) is the prayer of Dawud (عليه السالم). He used to sleep half the night, spend one-third of the night in prayer and sleep for one-sixth of it’.

حماد بن سلمہ سلیمان تیمی سے، سلیمان تیمی ثابت سے اور ثابت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: جس رات مجھے معراج ہوئی میں موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس سرخ ٹیلے کے پاس آیا، اور وہ کھڑے اپنی قبر میں نماز پڑھ رہے تھے ۔
Hamad bin Salmah Sulaiman Timi se, Sulaiman Timi Thabit se aur Thabit Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat karte hain ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Jis raat mujhe Miraj hui main Musa alaihi salaam ke pas surkh tile ke pas aya, aur woh khare apni qabr mein namaz padh rahe the .
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ أَتَيْتُ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي عَلَى مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ عِنْدَ الْكَثِيبِ الأَحْمَرِ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي فِي قَبْرِهِ .
