Sunan an-Nasa'i 1995
Abu Bakkar Al-Hakam bin Farrukh said: Abu Al-Malih led us in offering the funeral prayer and we thought that he had said the Takbir, but he turned to us and said: 'Make you rows straight and intercede properly.' Abu Al-Malih said: Abdullah - meaning Ibn Salit-narrated to me that one of the Mothers of the believes, Maimunah the wife of the Prophet, said: The Prophet told me: There is no deceased person for whom a group of people offers the funeral prayer, but their intercession for him will be accepted.' I asked Abu Al-Malih about the (number of that) group and he said: 'Forty. '

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جو کسی جنازے میں شریک رہے یہاں تک کہ اس پر نماز جنازہ پڑھی جائے، تو اسے ایک قیراط ثواب ملے گا، اور جو دفنائے جانے تک رہے تو اسے دو قیراط ملے گا“، پوچھا گیا: اللہ کے رسول! یہ دو قیراط کیا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”یہ دو بڑے پہاڑوں کے برابر ہیں“۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kahte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jo kisi janaze mein sharek rahe yahaan tak ke is par namaz-e-janaza parhi jaaye, to use ek qirat sawab milega, aur jo dafnaye jaane tak rahe to use do qirat milenge", poocha gaya: Allah ke Rasool! yeh do qirat kya hai? Aap ne farmaya: "Yeh do bare pahadon ke barabar hain".
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ شَهِدَ جَنَازَةً حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ شَهِدَ حَتَّى تُدْفَنَ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ " . قِيلَ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " مِثْلُ الْجَبَلَيْنِ الْعَظِيمَيْنِ " .
