Sunan an-Nasa'i 2012
Hisham bin 'Amir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that they complained to the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) on the day of Uhud, saying, 'O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) , it is too difficult for us to dig a grave for each person.' The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'dig graves and make them good and deep, and bury two or three in one grave.' They said, 'who should we put in first, O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)?' He said, 'put in first the one who knew more Qur'an.’ He said, ‘my father was the third of three in one grave.’

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جس وقت دفنائے گئے آپ کے نیچے ایک سرخ چادر رکھی گئی ۔
Abdul-Allah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jis waqt dafanaye gaye aap ke niche ek surkh chadar rakhi gai 1؎.
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ : جُعِلَ تَحْتَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ دُفِنَ قَطِيفَةٌ حَمْرَاءُ .
